My husband Mike and I moved to Victoria in 1994 and fell in love with our beautiful city. Watching visitors from all over the world, we thought it would be fun to meet and talked to them. That gave us the idea of buying a vacation property. When we found this building, it seemed to be the perfect location, ideal for visitors who preferred a quiet private suite to a hotel room. Where they could make lunch or dinner without going to a restaurant. Buy a bottle of wine and enjoy it when they come home from a day of sightseeing.

We bought this place because it was in downtown Victoria, but in a quiet seaside neighborhood. Hardly any traffic, since the street is one way only and ends 2 houses down into Dallas Rd and the ocean front.
We stayed at this property for several days while sightseeing in Victoria BC and couldn't have been more pleased. The location was within walking distance of many of the sites of the Inner Harbor and it was less than a block to walk along the ocean front. There was off street parking so we often left the car parked and walked into the Inner Harbor area. We found the property to be clean, well decorated, cozy and well decorated. The owner was very helpful in answering our questions and giving us recommendations for places to eat and go sightseeing. If we were in the Victoria area again we would certainly stay here.
We were there for nearly 5 weeks. Few places are perfect. The view of the patio is taken south to north. If taken west to east you get a different and less favourable view. The camera work makes the place appear about a 1/4 bigger than it actually is when you get there. The kitchen, for instance, is only big enough for one person. The couch, in our apartment, needed to be cleaned or replaced. We had to leave the main door open a bit every day to allow the heat in the living room to escape because of the pilot light in the fireplace. This probably wouldn't be an issue in the Fall or Winter but for June, July, and August, the main door needs window with a screen or something for ventilation. Towels, cloths, and bed sheets were always cleaned and conveniently ready to be picked up when you needed them. The bedroom has a kingsize bed and was always cool and well ventilated. BMO bank, a 24 hour grocery store, a drugstore, and liquor store are about a ten minute walk away. A seaside beach is 5 minutes south. The owner is friendly and helpful. I would rent this property again without hesitation in spite of my list above. I just wanted you to know what you were renting, that's all. It's very difficult to beat the value and economy of this location in Victoria.

We loved it here. The place is exactly as described - quiet, secluded yet steps from the ocean and walking distance to downtown. It was clean and had everything we needed, including a grill with all the tools. The outdoor patio space was awesome and made the whole place so much bigger since we could open the door and let the kids run around. Being able to walk to a nice grocery store and coffee shop was great. The owner was on-site and very helpful and accomodating. Check in couldn't have been easier!
I highly recommend this vacation rental. It is in a quiet neighborhood, within a block of the ocean walkway. It is also a five minute walk to James Bay village with groceries, coffee shops, movie store, etc.
The suite is very comfortable; fully furnished with TV, DVD laundry facilities. It had all the kitchen equipment required for my two months stay. The unit has a lovely private balcony with a barbeque.
The owners are very personable and helpful. They were always avaiable to provide information and extras to help make my stay very enjoying.
The only minor inconvenience was parking; occasionally I had to park on the street as there are only four parking spots for five units.
This is our favorite vacation spot--we have been coming here for a week's vacation at least once a year since 2003. The hosts are very welcoming, gracious and helpful! The suite is clean, attractive and comfortable. It is located in a quiet neighborhood where it only takes a couple of minutes to walk to the beach. Nearby are restaurants, a drug store, and a grocery store where you can pick up items to make your own meals. You can also walk the neighborhood streets and enjoy looking at the older homes and gardens. It is a comfortable walk to the inner harbor and downtown shopping and restaurants. We highly recommend!!
