On the ocean (Misquamicut Beach), walking distance to state park, restaurants, ice-cream, and oldest working carrosel. Only 3 miles from historic Watch Hill. Water Wizz (water park) 5 min. walk, amusement park. Foxwoods Casino 20 minute drive. Deck on both sides of house, ocean view includes (Block Island, Long Island Sound, and light house), back side of the property includes view of the sunset over a pond. 2 outdoor showers, 1 open cold water, another enclosed hot/cold water.

On Misquamicut Beach. The town of Westerly is made up of several small villages including Misquamicut and Watch Hill. Seven miles of white sand beaches, scenic golf courses, quaint museums and shops attract visitors from all parts of New England and beyond. Misquamicut State Beach is famous throughout the northeast for excellent swimming and surfing warmed by Gulf Stream waters. Beyond the beaches there are many interesting things to see. Stately Victorian era homes in Watch Hill lend an ambiance of romance to a vacation. The Flying Horse Carousel in Watch Hill is the oldest operating carousel of its kind in the nation. Wilcox Park is a beautiful fourteen acre botanical garden in the heart of the business district that showcases a large collection of native and rare trees, shrubs, vines and flowers. The park also features unique Westerly granite monuments and memorials including the lovely Wilcox Memorial Fountain. Many fascinating Historic Register sites dot the local area.

Notes: Four picnic tables on located on the deck by the beach with umbrellas. Three TVs each with Direct TV (and football package). Main floor TV is 60' 2012 added new carpet, sleeper sofa, TV's, dressers, picnic tables, ceiling fan, and bunk house. Two propane grills, one on the back deck and one on the front deck. Back deck has table and four chairs. Card table with four folding chairs for extra inside seating.

Very comfortable, though, some furntiture is starting to show some wear and tear. Everything was clean and had open floor plan, which was good for the 3 kids,and 3 adults.Plenty of deck space. LOVED the outdoor showers,(even one just to wash your feet).Kitty was very helpful and would rent this location again.

Escape from New York

We loved the tranquility of the ocean. We watched the sunrise over the ocean from our own deck. We had our own beach. There's plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The kids enjoyed the water park and the amusement park only a few minutes walk.

We loved the cool ocean breeze at night. We would leave the windows open. My husband and I never slept better!

The whole experience was fabulous. My family will be coming back again!!!

I loved having a cup of coffee on the deck while watching the sunrise over the ocean and our own private beach! The kids loved playing on the beach and in the warm ocean. We ate almost every meal on the deck(s).

In the evening on the back deck we watched the sunset. On the 4th of July we saw the fireworks off the deck no obstructions. At night we opened the windows and could feel the cool breeze of the ocean.

Easy ramp access to the beach, no steps, I wheeled a cooler and toys to the beach for the kids. Two outside showers made for easy cleanup. I would highly recommend staying here.

There is a water park for the kids a 7 minute walk. Amusement park/rides 5 minute walk. There are a multitude of restaurants within walking distance. State park is a 8 minute walk.

I've stayed at a few placed that didn't have any off-street/reserved parking. This house you have your own driveway/parking. You could park 4 cars their easily.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
