The Recovery Room is located in the Shell Harbor neighborhood, near the causeway entrance to Sanibel Island. With direct access to the Gulf of Mexico, this 2 bedroom, 2 bath (plus den) pool home is ideal for couples or those that are avid boaters, kayakers or love to fish!

In addition to panoramic views of the waterways from the family room, kitchen, dining room, living room and Master bedroom, the Recovery Room has a formal living room, family room, fully-equipped kitchen, laundry room, 3 tvs, vcr, dvd, cordless phone, answering machine, bbq grill and screened/heated pool.

The Master Bedroom features a King bed, en-suite bath and views of the water. The Guest Bedroom also has a King Bed, and the Den has a 2-Twin Trundle daybed.

With ceramic tile throughout, this home is suited for our furry dog friends, with prior approval.

The pool is heated with solar and electric heaters, so you'll never have a chill.

This home is zoned by the City for minimum 28 night rentals.

About our Pool and Beach: The heated pool is perfect to relax and unwind after a day on the water, or you can simply watch kayakers and boaters drift by. Dolphins, manatees, herons and hawks are regulars in our neighborhood.

We have an outdoor dock and seawalls that are perfect for fishing. You can watch canoers, kayakers, stand up paddleboarders and neighbors navigate the canals in their flats boats, pontoon boats, or 'big' boats on their way out to the Gulf of Mexico, which is right around the corner from our home. Catch your dinner and use our grill, or take your catch to the Lazy Flamingo Restaurant and have them prepare it your way!

You can also pick fresh grapefruits, ca or oranges off of the trees in our yard. Our neighbors have Mango trees that produce a lot of fruit, so it is not unusual to be able to help yourself from the 'Take Some!' basket by the street!

The private beach access is a short drive or bicycle ride away. Gramma Dots restaurant (yummy!) and the Sanibel Marina are within walking distance. We are the only community with a private deeded access. We get the best of both worlds - a place to dock our boat and stroll the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico Beaches.

28 Day rental required. No exceptions.

Happy Hour!: Our neighborhood has an informal Happy Hour every day around 5:00pm. An orange cone gets placed in the street, and if you see it, you know that 1) dogs are at play, so please drive slowly and 2) bring your beach chair and cocktails across the street and hang out with the neighbors while the dogs get their exercise.

It's a fun neighborhood on a very small cul-de-sac. It's surprising where people come from, where they've been and where they're going! This is a neighborhood where people *live* and it's super friendly and unpretentious.

The Guest Bathroom features a single vanity, a combo tub/shower and a privacy wall that separates the toilet from the main area. There is an exterior door from this bathroom that leads to the pool deck area. You can pop into the bathroom from the pool or boat dock area and not run through the entire house!

  • The Master Bedroom looks right out over the pool and waterway. What a beautiful way to wake up in the morning! The bedroom has a walk-in closet, a full bathroom with dual sinks, walk-in shower and black marble floors. The Den is adjacent to the Master Bedroom. It has a wicker trundle bed, which converts to two Twin beds and a small closet. It's ideal for children, that surprise visitor or as an office. Most of our guests use it as an office or quiet spot to write. The Junior Master Bedroom is the room to choose if you want to sleep in and not wake up with the sun! It has a King bed, dual closets and is adjacent to the Guest Bathroom and the Family Room, which has a Queen sleeper sofa.
