ALOHA! Welcome and enjoy your visit in our beautiful Island of Hawaii, while staying in our newly remodeled two bedroom home located in a good and friendly neighborhood near the community ballpark, and police and fire sub-stations just 12 miles from Hilo International Airport.
This home is an independent two bedrooms, 1 3/4 bath, and with a fully equipped kitchen for gourmet cooking. The kitchen has maple cabinets and granite countertops with a nook for buffet. The floor is a combination of laminated floor and ceramic tile. The rooms are spacious with comfortable queen and double beds and ceiling fans. An air mattress and beddings are provided for additional guests. The living room is comfortably furnished with ceiling fan, TV, DVD, movies, plug-in video games and stereo/CD player and wi-fi.
You can enjoy the ocean view from the porch and the living room. Out in the garage, there is a gas grill/barbecue and patio set in the back, a perfect place to relax after a busy day.
When exploring the different beauty spots of East Hawaii, for your convenience, our vacation home is a mile from 4 mile scenic drive, Onomeo Bay, a black sand beach and Botanical Garden, about 6 miles from Akaka Falls and historic Honomu, 10 miles from the Hilo Bay for shopping, restaurants, museums and beautiful parks. Within the vicinity of downtown Hilo is Queen Liliuokalani Park, Boiling pots, Rainbow Falls, King Kamehameha statue, Coconut Island, Mauna Kea Observatory, Lymann Museum, Mauna Loa Macadamia factory and the Big Island Candy factory.

Checked in on a Saturday, stayed for 5 days. The house is -very- comfortable. All the basics, and very well taken care of. Wifi's included--bonus for checking directions and nearby locations. Just outside downtown Hilo, and yet neighborhood is -very- quiet. House was cool at night and got nice sun during the day. Bathrooms were very spacious and kitchen was very-well equipped.
The only downsides were: there was a washing machine and dryer (very helpful!), no laundry soap was provided. With not being able to travel with it, we had to buy some and then leave almost a full bottle. Same thing with dish soap. Felt like a waste :( .
Other than those 2 things, the property is very nice, well-located, and very comfortable!
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the week+ we spent here! It is a comfortable, nicely updated house in a quiet neighborhood....and it is immaculate! We were out and about almost every day and it was so nice to come back in the evening and be able to relax in such a nice quiet place.
Very nice, clean and quiet neighborhood just outside of Hilo Town. Pleased with ease of booking, check-in/check-out and the home was also easy to find. Adequately furnished for families with children too. If you're like me and my family and prefer more than just a Hotel room.....this is the place for you! I will definitely be back!
It is very well kept home with very accomodating owners. It is located close to Hilo and a lot of things to do. Don't miss coffee at the Low Store.
Nice location right next to the falls and close to Hilo
Our family 2A+2C stayed in this cosy bungalow for 4 nights. The accomodation was very clean and well presented.The bathroom and kitchen were both modern with all amenities provided. Check-in was easy and our security deposit was promptly returned. It is a short drive north of Hilo in a peaceful neighbourhood. We had an easy drive to the Volcanoes National Park as well as Mauna Kea from here. We would highly recommend this accomodation.
