Photos and Description of the L'Anse vacation house rental
3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths that sleeps a maximum of 6 (5 adults)

Located on the quiet side of Huron Bay away from traffic, this 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath lake house has 150' of lake frontage. A beautiful modern structure with rustic decor and local decorative artifacts and photographs, this is a wonderful site for a family vacation or a romantic getaway. A large fire pit and picnic area are only feet from the sand and gravel beach that gets deep very slowly and is suitable for children. A 16' tandem Old Town kayak and a 14' aluminum Mirrocraft boat (mounted on an easy launch/retrieve ramp) encourage fishing for pike, bass, sunfish, etc. and exploring the sheltered waters of Huron Bay. Satellite HD TV provides voluntary contact with the outside world.

Normal check in time is noon Saturday. Normal check out time is noon Friday.

Thoresen's on Huron Bay: While in the house, enjoy a near-audiophile stereo and flat-panel video system with HD satellite TV, a modern fully equipped kitchen and unlimited telephone, high speed (DSL) internet, and WIFI privileges. A whole house fan provides natural cooling in the summer by pulling in air from off the lake. Heated floors and a 4' wood burning fireplace in the great room result in a cozy fall-winter-spring environment. A decorative fireplace with candle-burning ceramic logs and a 9' window in the master bedroom creates a relaxing place for having morning coffee in bed while watching loons fish in the bay.

Coming and going: Normal arrival is Saturday after noon. Normal departure is on Friday before noon.

Comfy, Clean, and well Supplied Vacation Home

Thank you for letting us rent your wondeful vacation home. It really helped to make our vacation comfortable & memorable.
Our review has no complaints-everything we needed was there to make us feel like home. The home was well supplied. It was so nice to come back to after hiking each day to see spectacular waterfalls and beaches located near by! We loved your decor and how everything was organized and clean.
We had a bonfire (wood suplied;thank you) by the water over looking the bay most nights. Other nights we enjoyed your entertainment center watching movies.
We enjoyed all the extra's even the boat and the kayaks.
Thanks again. We recommend this vacation home to anyone interested. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean, Comfy House in Great Western UP Location

You never know exactly what you're going to get when you select a rental house from the internet, but my family and I were quite pleased with this property. We found it to be extremely clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The owners provided a lot of helpful information - more than I've found that owners usually provide.

My husband, his parents and I wanted to visit the Keweenaw Peninsula (Brockway Mountain, Fort Wilkins, Copper Harbor, etc.) and also see some waterfalls that we hadn't seen and this was a great location. If you're looking for a base for outdoor activities or somewhere to relax in a beautiful setting, I would recommend this property to you!

I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a comfortable, relaxing vacation. The house is in perfect, clean condition and has just about everything you could need.
I really love this town and even though it is a long drive it is definitely worth it. I definitely plan on coming back again! Im almost afraid to recommend it to people just because I am afraid it will get too booked!!! ;)

Every thought to comfort and enjoyment

We had a lovely, comfortable stay. Every effort was made by the owners to provide access to things that would make our stay more enjoyable including boats and equipment, appropriate kitchen gadgets and cookware, laundry machines, water toys, games, firewood and more. If there is anything negative it would be Dexter, the nieghbor's long-haired dachsund who was strangely compelled to visit the house daily just to bark his fool head off. Fortunately, the neighbors came to collect Dexter within a reasonable time every time. Regardless, we highly recommend this lovely lake house.

Home away from home

We met friends from Indiana there for vacation, and were all pleasantly surprised at what we found. What a beautiful rental property!! It had everything we needed and more! Nice and clean, The rustic decoration made it feel more comfy and cozy. Although rustic, it is very modern. Beautiful view of Bay. Peaceful, restful, quiet. Great sound system. We met some of the neighbors, who were all very friendly! We would highly recomment this vacation rental to anyone, you will not be disappointed.
