Relax in this log cabin getaway on Flanders Pond. Enjoy swimming with the loons, sunbathing, boating, kayaking, beautiful sunsets, to just touch on what this Log Cabin has to offer. Sit on the dock, in the screened in porch or one of the two decks upper and lower to enjoy this park like setting. My wife and I loved this log cabin. We have a love of log cabins and stay in them wherever we travel too. This is the best I have ever seen. The furnishings are very nice and suite this cabin.
The cabin is remote, traveling dirt roads to get there, but it is worth it.
Over looking the lake and having a screened in porch to sit and look at the lake or sit and read a good book is very relaxing.
This is an excellent place for you and your significant other to get away and relax.
Another plus is not far, Winter Harbor lobster Coop. is a great place to buy fresh lobster. The people were very friendly and helpful with figuring out which lobsters were the best buy for us.
Over all my wife and I highly recommend this cabin for R&R.

We had a wonderful stay in this log cabin. The cabin was charming, clean, and very comfortable. Highlights include the well stocked modern kitchen, gas wood stove, screened in porch, views of the lake, and log cabin decor. The owners provided excellent customer service. I would highly recommend this property.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is just as pictured. It is small, but ideal for a couple or a small family. It is nicely appointed and clean with picture-perfect surroundings, and the lake is just beautiful. It is in a great location, away from it all, but also close to everything that you would need. Mount Desert Island, Schoodic Point and really good restaurants are a short drive away. We will definitely be back!

My wife take a week every summer and rent a place on a Maine lake someplace. Our criteria is simple. Quiet, privacy, beautiful wooded surroundings, a lake with great swimming and a comfy little love shack for the week.

We've had good luck with every place we've rented but we both agreed that this place is our favorite so far. There are neighbors yes, but privacy is provided by the woods in the summer time. We hardly heard a peep from either one during our stay. There was some construction going on across the street from us but it didn't ruin our stay by any means, and I would assume this is temporary. Flanders pond is smallish but pristing and gorgeous, great for swimming. The dock provides plenty of room for a couple of sun chairs and by 11 AM the it gets great sun. The cabin is oriented as to provide spectacular sunsets every evening.

Also, if you love the varied and mournful calls of Loons as we do, you will get plenty of those.

We're seriously considering seeing if we can book two weeks next summer!

This was one of the most relaxing vacations my family and I have ever had. The cabin was everything we expected and more. Smores at the camp fire, fishing and sight seeing. We had great weather and ate way to much lobster.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
