Guestbook comments from the owner

We stayed at the Sonoma Hideaway with our family. This property is a gem that combines privacy with a beautiful house and gardens just 5 minutes from the square. We loved having a vineyard on the grounds, and the pool and indoor/outdoor living made managing our young kids really easy. We will definitely return!

Great home away from home

  • 5 of 5

The Sonoma Hideaway was a great home for our vacation. We had 8 adults celebrating 2 birthdays and this place was very comfortable for our needs. The kitchen and patio grill made eating breakfast and grilling steaks easy and convenient. The location was great for going to town and visiting wineries and the hot tub was very relaxing after a long day on the wine tour. Would definitely come back.

large, private and beautiful

Somona Hideaway was a wonderful vacation for us. The house and the grounds were impressive and had everything that we could have possible needed. You get this fantastic sensation of being tucked away in a very private area but you still have easy access to scenic locations and the downtown square. The property is well maintained and it was really like being home away from home. We would definitely consider coming back.

Good times

Loved the house and property. Only drawbacks are the beds and sheets aren't very comfortable and the hot tub didn't have useable water when we got there but was changed out the next day after a call. Also not handicap friendly getting into the house...gravel driveway and a couple of steps in. A lot of amenities once inside though.

Owner's Response: We have removed the handicap friendly label from our listing until we can implement some portable ramps. While we did discuss the gravel driveway and step, I was unaware that you were using a motorized scooter and could not easily navigate the first step into the house. I apologize for the hot tub not being ready. We always have the hot tub serviced before the stay, and this was an oversight on the part of our service provider. I've spoken with them, and we've implemented a way for them to check our calendar so that this will not happen again. We always aspire to provide a great experience and we apologize for not providing you everything you needed.

Beautifil, spacious home

  • 5 of 5

The owner went above & beyond making our Thanksgiving holiday memorable. The house is first class & so spacious that all adult children & spouses had privacy. The gourmet kitchen made our dinner preparation for Thanksgiving so easy. He even bought a hand mixer for our stay! The large kitchen table was able to accommodate our clan while the fireplace glowed. We arrived to find lovely roses and many a bottle of wine from nearby vineyards. The bed sheets were Amazing , clean, crisp and ironed! The only inconvenience was the TV. Had many issues with steaming for the football

Games. Sonos system was difficult to engage for music . Did not use pool and back yard. But if u did it is very private. A bit of a long walk to town but a charming town with cute stores & restaurants. Easy quick drive to grocery stores! Great house for families or couples! loved the many Sonoma wineries!

Owner's Response: Hi Rosalyn - so glad you had a nice thanksgiving. Sorry that you couldn't make the sonos music and the streaming tv service (not the steaming service, ha ha) work for you.

Pure Delight

  • 5 of 5

This is my second stay at Sonoma Hideaway, and it's been as perfect as the first. The house is roomy, has excellent gathering spaces, as is appointed beautifully! The sheets are crisp white Pima cotton, there are loads of thirsty towels, and each room comes with a couple is waffle robes! The hosts even left us a bottle of wine made from the vines on the property. The house is decorated so tastefully, in a chic minimalist style. And the grounds are just as beautiful. So, so peaceful and private--a real gem of a getaway.
