A group of 8 ladies from San Francisco came to stay for a 35th birthday party with tons of great wine tasting on bikes plans, dinners out, etc and were faced with the worst 3 days of rain Sonoma had seen in almost 5 years. Despite the awful(yet much needed) weather, we were able to have a blast and enjoy the expansive, cozy, beautiful property! It is truly stunning and relaxing and the perfect getaway, no matter what the conditions!

Owner's Response: Sorry for the inclement weather, but I am glad you were able to make the best of it!

The house is beautiful, just as described and the setting and location are perfect. The pool, yard, and vineyards were lovely and the hot tub was a surprise plus (not mentioned in the house amenities). The house is a short drive for the center of Sonoma, yet we felt very removed from the neighbors. We had 2 small children and the house was well equipped with pack and play, high chair, some plug covers, and mostly child proof (for our 15 mo. old). The kitchen was very well stocked with high quality cookware. We would definitely come back!

Lucky us - for the second time in 12 months, we were back in wine country and staying at Tom's awesome Sonoma Hideaway! Matter of fact, we built our trip around returning to this comfortable, spacious, beautiful, well-cared-for property. We brought six friends with us this time and they too were wowed by the home - inside and out - and the grounds. We even got to see the grape harvest from 'our' front yard vineyard this year - pretty cool. Like last time, as much as we enjoy visiting wine country, we loved getting back to the house and pool and patio every afternoon for some R&R in the peaceful setting. Everyone remarked about how we couldn't have had the same experience in a hotel and they were right. Tom is a most-excellent host before and during our visit too. You can tell he cares about his guests and making sure they have a good time. Once again, we cannot recommend Sonoma Hideaway highly enough, but also fear doing so means it will be harder to book for our next trip, and there will be a next trip! Thanks Tom! Sandy & John L.
Owner's Response: THanks Sandy and John! I am so glad you guys continue to have a great experience in sonoma and I am so glad you were there for the harvest!

This home is exquisitely appointed and very comfortable. The location is within driving distance to Napa and near Sonoma town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely return. The owners detailed out restaurants, winery's, parks that are nearby and eased our enjoyment of an unfamiliar area. Great house, well maintained, good location, and very family friendly.

We (me & 6 girlfriends) rented this house in Sonoma for our annual girls getaway and it was as if we were living in our very own luxury resort. The home is absolutely stunning inside and out. The landscape (we had our own vineyard!) was spectacular and provided beautiful backdrops for photos and vistas to savor any time of day. The home was perfect in every way. Because it is a ranch, there are no stairs to climb. The master, master bath and another bedroom (with it's own bath) were on one end and the other two bedrooms and bathroom were on the other end, with kitchen, another half bath and living spaces in the center of the house. It is beautifully decorated in classic Sonoma style, which adds to the ambiance of wine country living. We spent many hours outside around the beautiful pool and shaded pergola area, and enjoyed breakfast al fresco in the outdoor eating areas.

The location was ideal. We were not even a mile from Sonoma square so if you like jogging, biking or long walks, you could make the square your destination. The home is also located within walking distance of Bartholomew Park & winery (just 2 blocks away) so we walked through the park, stopped to wine taste, then walked further through the park and found another winery (Buena Vista) and stopped there for a tasting too! Nothing like wining and walking!

I cannot say enough about this place. It was a perfect location for a girlfriends getaway, and would be great for a couples retreat, or family gathering. It's very private and safe (it's gated), feels remote yet is close to everything. It is truly a sanctuary that I would highly recommend you consider for your next trip to wine country.
Owner's Response: Thanks so much for this great review - we work hard to make the sonoma hideaway a great experience, and I am glad you had a great vacation!
