We had a great week on the lake. The cottage was very clean and quaint. There was everything in the cottage we needed. We will definity come back. The beds were very comfortable and the lake was very quiet and peaceful. The cottage is not far from Traverse City, so there was many things to do.

On our first visit to this property in 2011, we noticed right away how clean and well-maintained the cabin and grounds were. We have enjoyed staying here every summer since and feel at home from the moment we arrive. Our grandsons (now ages 5 and 7) thoroughly enjoy swimming and playing in the lake. We love relaxing on the deck and enjoying cool breezes and beautiful sunsets. The owner takes pride in this lake property making it a great place to stay. We are already planning our visit next summer.
The cottage was just as pictured - clean, cozy and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our week of relaxation. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and dishes, there were more movies than you could watch in a month and a number of games. Being right on the lake was wonderful and on our first morning we were blessed with a beautiful double rainbow promising a georgous day! The owners were great to deal with and you can tell they take care of their property!
This place was very nice and clean! Has been kept in excellent condition! We had such a great time with our 3 sons and I truly feel this was the best vacation our family has ever had. We spent so much quality time with our 3 sons. So peachful, quiet, and relaxing. The water was just beautiful and we watched the sun set every day. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. Not to far away from anything you may want to do up north. We were able to take our small dog with us which was great. We grilled out just about every night and truly enjoyed the outdoors. Very private for which we truly enjoyed as well.
A nice, relaxing place - super clean, great fire pit with wood provided, all exactly as pictured! The lake is beautiful, and it was great to just sit and enjoy the view. Glad to have the air conditioning for a day or two of our trip, as it was hot. No need to bring outdoor chairs, as there were probably 10 to choose from! There's even an outdoor dining table and the lawn is big enough for kids to run around and have fun. Good times, and bonus points that I got my deposit check back in the mail the day after I returned home. Pizza at the Cove store on lake is yummy. Good location to drive to Traverse City or Mackinac Island for day trips. :)
Had an absolutely wonderful time here. My kids played in the water every day from morning till night. The lake is clean, warm and shallow with a sandy bottom -- perfect for younger children to explore. We had a campfire almost every night, roasted marshmallows and told ghost stories. The TV was hardly ever turned on!
The cabin is small and a tight fit (especially for very tall people like us) but everything is extremely clean, well-maintained and very comfortable; most of your time during summer will be spent outside enjoying the view from the dock or swing or having fun in the water. It's one of the nicer cabins we've seen. Sunsets were spectacular and the best part of the day. So relaxing that I didn't think about work the entire time I was up there.
Overall, a great place to stay and the owners were great to work with and very accommodating. Highly recommended!!!
FYI, at the corner of M-72 and 571 (about 4 miles from the cabin) is a fantastic place for baked goods -- McDougal's(?) Sweet Spot I believe it was called. Out of this world, homemade fresh fruit pies, turnovers, cinnamon rolls and streudel. Worth the trip back up there just for the food.
