RARE J SECTION - 2 MINUTE WALK TO BEST SURF BREAK IN GUIONES !

I can't speak highly enough of the property, the care the owners have placed on the house, and the helpful local crew.

I was there with a group of diverse friends, and the property was intimate enough for us to have a grand time together yet provided enough spaces for each to find privacy. We absolutely loved being so close to the beach - a short 5 minute walk, part of it through a nature preserve where we saw monkeys and other wild life. There is a rental shop on the way to get boogie boards, surf boards, chairs, and umbrellas. They were quite friendly and also arranged some of our other adventure trips.

The main town is pretty close, worth the short walk. Ok for shopping for basics; for bigger shopping you have to go into Nosara, which is an experience into itself. If you plan to walk at night do bring flashlights as it can get pretty dark.

We had a lovely time and are already planning next year's adventure.

My family just returned from a week-long stay at this house and it was fantastic. The thoughtful layout made for an easy, comfortable vacation experience that allowed for enough privacy for sharing the space with other families, but ample shared space for great interactions. We rented the house with two other families. Each of us had our own room with private bath and AC. There was also an indoor room with TV/cable/books/games. The rest of the house/compound is outside. While this did mean we had to take precautions to protect our food from the animals, it was well worth the minor inconvenience. To live most of our vacation outside in the warmth of the Costa Rican sun gave our vacation a true beach vacation feel. We will spend the rest of winter indoors, so maximizing our outside time in Costa Rica was key to our vacation experience. The open layout also meant that everyone could easily interact throughout the compound. If some people were in the pool, they were still visible and within talking range of others lounging at the bar or in the living room. Other thoughtful touches included outside showers to get the beach sand off before entering the main spaces. There was also poolside bathroom and shower to take care of those needs without tracking pool water into your room. Finally, the compound felt very safe. There were safes provided in each room for valuables. In addition the whole house works on a keypad entry system, so there is no worrying about keys while you are swimming at the beach. I would highly recommend this house. Beyond the house itself, the location is great. A few minutes walk from the beach, restaurants and other activities. Using the house as a base, we were able to make arrangements to kayak, paddle board, surf, zip line and hike.

Our group of 13 stayed here! We never felt crowded and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the great town! The house is clean and well taken care of. We hired a cook, Graciela, who we loved and enjoyed our dinners all together at the LONG table! We spent a lot of time in the pool, playing ping pong and just hanging out playing cards or reading! We walked the 3 minute walk through the jungle every day and spent a lot of time in town which was a very short walk also. Had massages across the street, actually used the hotel across the street to plan snorkeling, ziplining and a boat tour. Caution, you'll like to boat tour if you are into bird watching, otherwise find another one!!!
