House, 5 Bedrooms + Den, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 10-12)

Spend your summer days in this grand, exclusive Victorian summer house, secluded from the outside world in its own private neighborhood. While away the hours on a glorious half-mile of private beach. Relax and dine on the wrap-around porch that provides a lovely view of the ocean.

The living room and formal dining room provide plenty of space for summer entertaining. Enjoy the ten foot ceilings, original paneling and details. Ten guests can sleep comfortably in the five very large upstairs bedrooms. For those who simply can't leave work behind, a computer with flat screen monitor is available, and we provide FIOS wireless service at no extra charge. In addition to FIOS TV in the den, each bedroom has either FIOS TV and DVD, or DVD on its own.

The house has a full modern kitchen complete with dishwasher, garbage disposal and microwave. In addition to the three full bathrooms, there is a unique outdoor shower with hot and cold water.

The full size pantry and the butler's pantry adjoin the kitchen as does the separate laundry room. Just step out onto the back porch to grill your freshly-caught bluefish on the Weber grill.

About The Owner

The first time I saw this house I was only 13, and I promised my mother that I was going to live there when I grew up. And I did! Now the many children are grown, and I'm happy to share this lovely place with other families who are looking for the perfect vacation to remember.

The Owner purchased this house in 1972
Why The Owner chose Marshfield

Our neighborhood and our beach are private so it feels like taking a step back in time. At night the stars and the moon are the only lights in the sky and the sound of the ocean will almost guarantee a good night's sleep. For all of the privacy and far-from-the-beaten-path feeling, OneRaleigh is less than an hour from Boston's Back Bay, which makes it easy to experience the excitement of the city as well.

What makes this house unique

Did I mention the private beach? Old Rexhame beach is on of the few remaining barrier beaches between Boston and Cape Cod and it is simply beautiful. There is nothing better than starting your day with a long walk along the water all by yourself, than ending the day with a romantic stroll along with water with your sweetheart.

Beautiful, airy, a wonderful vacation, so relaxing, enough room for the whole family and all of our guests, easy drive to downtown, but at night stars so close I thought I could touch them.
