Just a short distance from Six Flags Magic Mountain Theme/Water Park and yet it seems worlds apart. When you arrive at this cozy mountain cabin you will feel your cares lift away as you look up at the tall pines and beautiful mountains surrounding you. You will be within walking distance to the quaint little town of Pine Mountain Club where you will find several eating establishments along with a general store with all of the basic necessities. There are also many unique little shops to explore for that 'must have'.
Bedroom number 1 provides a queen bed, and bedroom number 2 provides two fold-out chairs (single beds). There is electric heat in each room along with a wood burning pot belly stove in the living/kitchen area. A patio out front gives you that special place to enjoy your morning coffee and breath in that fresh mountain air - or - enjoy that nice glass of wine in the evening and actually be able to see the stars! Sliding doors off each bedroom offer you fresh mountain air at your convenience. A charcoal bar-b-q is provided for your use and enjoyment in the Spring and Summer should you feel the desire for some outdoor grilling. Indoors you can enjoy satellite TV, a movie, board games or just read a good book. Some board games, books, and movies are provided for your enjoyment.
A short walk to the Pine Mountain Clubhouse will bring you to swimming, tennis, golf, and there is a teen room filled with games/activities. If you visit us in the winter, you are sure to find snow, where you can do some cross country skiing or just some sledding. Or how about a good old fashion snow ball fight or making snow angels! The spring and summer bring the festivals, including the Wine in the Pines festival and the Lilac Festival - be sure to book early, these events fill up quickly!
Pets are welcome as long as they are housebroken. There is a fully enclosed back yard but beware not to leave pets unattended in Pine Mountain Club and absolutely no pets off leash anywhere outside the fenced-in-yard, and please, for their safety, don't leave pets outside overnight.
The area is peaceful, quiet and beautiful. It feels like you are miles and miles from the 'big' city, yet it's only a short one-hour drive from Santa Clarita and about an hour and a half outside Los Angeles - as soon as you arrive you can feel the peace settle over you like a comfortable blanket.
The home is freshly remodeled, yet it holds onto the charm of Pine Mountain homes as they were built in the 1970s. All the comforts of home... away-from-home.
