PENTHOUSE CONDO - On The Beach -
This is a penthouse unit in our oceanfront property. Being on the top floor of this 3 story building offers you the most spectacular views of the ocean and southern coast. You will be able to spot the dolphins even when they past the surf breaks. The elevation above the boardwalk also offers for privacy and solitude.
This spacious 2 bedroom condo sleeps 6-7 people comfortably. It is decorated with sophistication with comfort in mind. This home was recently renovated offering fresh surroundings and comfort. One of the bedrooms has two full beds and the second bedroom acts as the master with one queen size bed. There are two bathrooms. The master bath has a shower and the second bath has a bathtub plus shower. The kitchen comes complete with everything you need to enjoy a home-away-from-home vacation on the beach!
There are many high end treatments making this unit comfortable and accommodating including travertine throughout, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, washer/dryer in the unit, dishwasher, wireless internet and parking. There is a private patio for the building with a large stainless steel barbecue and picnic tables. The patio has a view of the ocean!
There are views of the water from all west facing windows! That means you will be watching the sunset into the ocean from the comfort of your living room couch!
We have more condos in the same building that when combined can sleep a total of 24-32!

The best word to describe our experience was breathtaking! The views from the top floor were incredible. We could see past the surf break to where the dolphins swim past. We had two families including 4 adults and 2 children. The house accommodated us all very well. We found all of the dishware we needed to eat at home most of the time. The oceanfront location is obviously ideal for watching sunsets from the living room while the kids played or slept. We also liked the North Mission Beach location because we could walk to all kinds of different restaurants and shopping. We are sincerely looking forward to coming back and hope to stay in the same home.
Stayed here with my family of 4, great location on Mission Beach with panoramic views of the ocean! We saw a dolphin playing in the ocean! Ideal location, located on the boardwalk, steps from the beach, & you can walk to restaurants and coffee shops in Mission Beach & Pacific Beach. This home was a fantastic base for our family to see all of San Diego, 10 minutes from Sea World, 15 minutes from Downtown San Diego, & 15 minutes from San Diego Zoo. The house was very clean with nice granite countertops, wifi, bbq on patio, light & bright decor, & it has it's own reserved parking space which is a must in Mission Beach. I would highly recommend this home!

This unit is rented through two different vacation rental services on behalf of the owner. There is another VRBO listing for the same unit.
Pros: The location of the unit in Mission Beach is great. It is central to all Mission Beach locations, 10 minutes to Sea World, 15 minutes to the San Diego Zoo, 35 minutes to the Safari Park, 15 minutes to all downtown locations, 15 minutes to La Jolla. Having a designated parking spot is also a must in Mission Beach and is included with this unit. The “front row” location on the beach with uninterrupted views of the ocean is great. Having this spectacular view and being on the third floor where there is essentially no noise from the boardwalk is a complete win-win. The unit has the majority of things you would want from a vacation unit - basic kitchen items, towels, beach toys, etc. Overall, the location of this unit along with the view is really what makes it worth renting.
Cons: The unit had several small items that needed repair: toilet paper holder was broken, bathroom fan didn’t work, towel racks coming off walls, fire detector batteries missing, rusted metal items (likely from the salt air), dirty front windows, really squeaky floors, burnt out lights, etc. Most of these items would only require a handyman a couple minutes each (and weren’t too annoying), but really should be fixed to justify the stated pricing. The parking space is also by the garbage cans of the property so it’s not a real great experience getting in and out of the car, but, again, not a huge deal. The last item was that the building isn’t really well sound insulated, so when the other penthouse unit owners come home…you definitely know it (and wonder if they are in your unit).
Overall we would suggest this unit based on the location and views. If the owner fixed up some of the other items, it would really make the unit a complete top shelf rental.
