Our beautiful Oceanside beach-level Townhouse is located in Parksville, British Columbia.

Parksville is on the east side of Vancouver Island, 150 km north of Victoria.

Our townhouse is in the Tanglewood complex on the southern edge of Parksville between Rathtrevor Provincial Park and Beach Acres Resort.

We are located at beach level -- it is a short 30 second walk (about 60 paces) from our unit to the beach, no long walks through the woods to get to the ocean, which is visible on every level of the unit.

We offer huge sandy beaches, warm water, and a quiet atmosphere in a privately owned complex. Enjoy, relax, and rejuvenate yourself in your 'home away from home'. Have a great time swimming in the ocean, walking the beach, or hiking the trails in the Provincial park next door.

For those who like to golf, we are within a 20 minute drive of ten or more courses that will provide a challenge to any level of player. If mini-golf is more for you and the kids, we are under a 5 minute walk away.

Our townhouse is fully equipped.

On the top floor are two bedrooms and a four piece bathroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed, a private deck and cable TV. The second bedroom has a two double futon bunks with singles on top.

The main floor has the living room with fireplace and cable TV, dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a four piece bathroom, gas barbeque and two decks.

On the entry level is the third bedroom with a double bed. It also has a 1/2 bath. This level also has a single car garage with a full size laundry washer and dryer.

When you are ready for your day on the beach we provide beach toys for sand castle building for the kids. We also have our red beach wagon to help you get these to and from the beach.

In the evening wander down to the beach and have a bonfire in one of the fire pits in front of the Tanglewood complex.

This is the perfect location to enjoy the wonderful West Coast. Come and explore the beach and the surrounding area. You will find something for everyone in your party.

We came for a holiday and stayed in this condo complex, we found it would be a great place to watch our kids grow up, and for the last 5 years they have loved every minute we can spare to come here. Someday we'll retire here and hopefully all those memories the kids will have will bring them home to us in this magical place.

it was an amazing place for the whole family

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids (6 and 7 yrs old) , we all really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful townhouse. Everything was as presented in the ad. Kitchen well stocked with everything we needed. short distance to many attractions and facilities. Owners were wonderful to deal with, responded to every question. We enjoyed our walk on the beach, collecting sea shells, colored rocks and kiting as well. some attractions which we enjoyed were Englishman falls, Paradise fun park, spider lakes, butterfly world, and there is a super playground for the kids just couple min drive from this townhouse. Overall, it was an amazing place to spend our summer vacation.

Repeat stay was awesome!

We stayed at this place in 2011 for the first time (read the review below if you want more of a description of the unit's layout). It was also the first time we had done VRBO and, after going to another location last summer, we decided to come back to Vancouver Island and this same unit again in 2013. That was a great choice!

The unit has been upgraded since our visit in 2013. There is new flooring on the main floor, new furniture in the living room and master bedroom, and better TVs. What is the same is the great location on the beach - only 30 seconds walk. It's not right on the beach - the unit is in the second row of units off the beach - but still VERY close and convenient. So - you get to easily enjoy all of the joys of high and low tide on a really fabulous beach. The tide goes out for a long way (takes us 15 minutes to walk from the shore to the edge of low tide). Bathrooms, kitchen, resting places are just off the beach when you've decided you've had enough for the day.

Parksville is also a great location on the island. We love visiting the Coombs-goats-on-the-roof-market, Cathedral Grove, the Parksville sand castle competition, and Chemainus for the murals and theatre (and fun town!). Last time we visited Tofino. You could also visit Campbell River, Victoria, or any of the Gulf Islands very conveniently from Parksville. So - prime beach location but also prime island location.

The unit is laid out well, supplied well and clean. The owner is great to work with and in general we have felt this unit is a home away from home. We'd highly recommend it to anyone and we'll likely be back again ourselves.

This is a terrific location. Not waterfront but very close and an easy walk to the most amazing beach on the island. The townhouse was clean, well equipped with everything we needed. Archie was wonderful to deal with and everything worked out as promised. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Great Townhouse on the best beach!

I had my curling team stay here for a week and had heard through the grapevine that it was located on the best beach on the inside straight of Vancouver Island. I can tell you that I was not dissapointed. The accomodations are perfect for a family, 2 to 3 couples, or even just a special place for a romantic getaway. The beach is right out your window (about a 50m walk) and when the tide is out you can walk for ever.I stayed in the month of February which is apparently low season. I can't even imagine what "high season" would be like. A great year round getaway. If I had an extra hand, I'd give it 3 thumbs up.

Famiy Winter visit with young children and grandparents

We had a great stay at this Rathtrevor townhouse over the winter holidays! The 3 bedrooms fit our family perfectly, the master bedroom has a really comfortable king bed, the 2nd bedroom has 2 bunk beds with the bottoms as doubles which was perfect for our 2 year old and 5 year old. The ladders were hidden away in the closet which was great, so our little adventurers couldn't make it up to the top bunks in the middle of the night. The downstairs bedroom had a nice queen bed for the grandparents to stay in with their own little bathroom. The area was nice and quiet, we were at the beach every day and built a new sandcastle each day with the plethora of sand toys provided! Even in the winter Rathtrevor is a great beach for families. The condo was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The heating was easy to control and did a great job of keeping us comfortable. I can't express how nice our stay was, we will definitely rent this condo again on subsequent trips north, it really felt like our home for a week. I highly recommend this property, you won't be disappointed.

Love Rathtrevor Beach

We loved our stay at this condo. It was our first experience with VRBO and we enjoyed it enough to try it again in the future. The condo was clean, comfortable and had lots of amenities. We loved being able to eat 'at home' and found the kitchen well enough equipped to cook most of the things we like to eat. The stove and fridge are in good working order. We also really appreciated the owner's provision of sand toys and a wagon, which made going to the beach very convenient and fun!

The condo is stretched over several floors. After parking in the garage, you go in on the main floor - there is a hallway, bedroom and bathroom. Climb the stairs to the kitchen and living room. Climb the stairs again for two bedrooms and a bathroom. For a young family this is no issue, but if you don't like stairs this might not be the unit for you.

The unit's best amenity, for us, was that it was close to Rathtrevor beach. You should note that the overall picture showing the picture with a circle around the condo development in relation to Rathtrevor provincial park is slightly misleading. The condo listed here is actually not right on the beach. It is located behind the units right on the beach, so your view out most of the windows is of other units. We had inaccurately understood and thought we'd be right on the beach. Still, the unit is VERY close to the beach and it takes 30 seconds or so to walk to the beach. So - we felt very happy with the unit and really loved the beach. We loved the low tide so we could explore what was left behind - shells, clams, sea glass, sand dollars - and making sand castles. High tide was also fabulous - our children loved swimming and the water is great, because it is fairly warm on sunny days, and shallow for a long way out.

Parksville's location is also great - it makes exploring other parts of Vancouver Island - or some of the other islands - easy. We loved Chemainus and Tofino and know there are lots more great places to explore. We had a great tip from the owner as well - to go to the Tuesday night market in Parksville. Loved that - as well as exploring several other markets in the area. What a great experience for my family. We'll hopefully be back!
