This apartment has it all – location and poetics. It is on the ground floor and it faces a shared garden/courtyard. It is extremely quiet since it does not face the street. It is one block away from the A, C, E, and L subway stops, 2 blocks from the highline, waterfront, and Chelsea market and 3 blocks from the Meatpacking District. No taxis necessary to have the true Manhattan experience.
This apartment is modern while paying homage to its past. It has its original 10 ft tin ceilings, exposed brick in the bathroom and one of the bedrooms. Both bedrooms have a full size bed, and there is a pull out sofa bed. The kitchen is newly renovated with granite countertops, and new appliances and cabinets. It opens into the living room. This comfy place is perfectly located in a quiet area, close to every subway station you need to get around NYC. Chelsea Market and the Highline are just around the corner. The landlady was very kind and helpful.
The apartment could be brighter but at the end of the day, you don't go to NYC to spend the days in the living room! I can only recommend this place.
Came over from Melbourne,Australia to celebrate my 50th with 3 friends and had a absolute perfect time staying in this charming little home in Chelsea . Andrea the owner greeted us with the warmest welcome and this made us feel we were at home straight away . Customer service was excellent even down to sending me a birthday greeting while I was there . The apartment was in a perfect area heaps of restaurants and bars . Very clean and well maintained and I will highly recommend this apartment .
Thank you very much Andrea you made our stay in New York most comfortable .
The apartment was exactly as described - maybe even better! Andrea and Nelson were prompt and attentive from the first time i inquired. This doesn't always happen if you have shopped around on the rental sites. They kept in touch via text all week to make sure we were comfortable. The apartment was immaculate. The location was in Chelsea where one could find a multitude of bars,a variety of restaurants and one and a half blocks from the famous Chelsea Market. The Highline was only a few blocks away. Times Square was a mere two subway stops away. The actual location of the apartment was at the rear of the building so it was so QUIET which I understand in very unusual for any NYC apartment. A charming courtyard was only a few steps away from the apartment door. Please consider this place if you are looking for a PERFECT place to stay while exploring the city.
Andrea was very helpful and flexable with arrival and departure. Comfortable and quiet in a well kept classic brown stone. Position perfect. Sienfeld tragics would love this.
Andrea's home is lovely; clean, well-kept and quite spacious for NY rental property. Andrea herself couldn't have been more helpful. When I told her we were coming out for my daughter to look for a summer internship she even passed her resume out to friends and got her a great interview! The area is very nice and safe. One block to subway station, great coffee shop on the corner. Chelsea Market is only a few blocks away and they have everything.
Me and 3 friends spent an amazing week in New York from 20 to 27 May 2013 staying at the home of Andrea and Nelson. We chose the house by HomeAway for the location and structure (2 bedrooms). Andrea has always been very prompt in answering my emails and very kind and helpful. He welcomed us into her home describing every detail of the apartment. The house is really nice much better than the photos used on the site. Big, comfortable and bright despite being on the ground floor. The location is the best point ... In the heart of Chelsea, just few steps from the Meatpacking district and Greenwich Village. All trendy bars are just a few blocks away. We often we moved on foot or by taxi at very low costs. Around the corner there is the Chelsea Market and a little more down, Pastis for the Sunday brunch. I recommend you to drink a cocktail at the Top of the Standard Hotel (18^ floor) with a beautiful view of the city. Even the metro is very close and there are pharmacies, supermarkets and Starbucks coffee everywhere around. The last day, before leaving, we met Nelson, a really sunny and nice person too. It is not the first time that I rent house in NYC for the holidays but I have to say that this time Andrea and Nelson were really special and made us feel like at home. New York is a unique and amazing City and if you decide to visit I highly recommend this fantastic apartment in the heart of New York life! Thank you Andrea and Nelson, see you soon!
