VERY COOL, CONVENIENT APARTMENT IN CHELSEA.

  • 5 of 5
The apartment was exactly as described - maybe even better! Andrea and Nelson were prompt and attentive from the first time i inquired. This doesn't always happen if you have shopped around on the rental sites. They kept in touch via text all week to make sure we were comfortable. The apartment was immaculate. The location was in Chelsea where one could find a multitude of bars,a variety of restaurants and one and a half blocks from the famous Chelsea Market. The Highline was only a few blocks away. Times Square was a mere two subway stops away. The actual location of the apartment was at the rear of the building so it was so QUIET which I understand in very unusual for any NYC apartment. A charming courtyard was only a few steps away from the apartment door. Please consider this place if you are looking for a PERFECT place to stay while exploring the city.

Andrea was very helpful and flexable with arrival and departure. Comfortable and quiet in a well kept classic brown stone. Position perfect. Sienfeld tragics would love this.

LOVELY HOME, HELPFUL OWNER

  • 5 of 5
Andrea's home is lovely; clean, well-kept and quite spacious for NY rental property. Andrea herself couldn't have been more helpful. When I told her we were coming out for my daughter to look for a summer internship she even passed her resume out to friends and got her a great interview! The area is very nice and safe. One block to subway station, great coffee shop on the corner. Chelsea Market is only a few blocks away and they have everything.

NYC 4EVER!!!

  • 5 of 5
Me and 3 friends spent an amazing week in New York from 20 to 27 May 2013 staying at the home of Andrea and Nelson. We chose the house by HomeAway for the location and structure (2 bedrooms). Andrea has always been very prompt in answering my emails and very kind and helpful. He welcomed us into her home describing every detail of the apartment. The house is really nice much better than the photos used on the site. Big, comfortable and bright despite being on the ground floor. The location is the best point ... In the heart of Chelsea, just few steps from the Meatpacking district and Greenwich Village. All trendy bars are just a few blocks away. We often we moved on foot or by taxi at very low costs. Around the corner there is the Chelsea Market and a little more down, Pastis for the Sunday brunch. I recommend you to drink a cocktail at the Top of the Standard Hotel (18^ floor) with a beautiful view of the city. Even the metro is very close and there are pharmacies, supermarkets and Starbucks coffee everywhere around. The last day, before leaving, we met Nelson, a really sunny and nice person too. It is not the first time that I rent house in NYC for the holidays but I have to say that this time Andrea and Nelson were really special and made us feel like at home. New York is a unique and amazing City and if you decide to visit I highly recommend this fantastic apartment in the heart of New York life! Thank you Andrea and Nelson, see you soon!

QUIET, CONVIENT LOCATION

  • 5 of 5
The location of this apartment is awesome. We spent countless hours walking to art galleries, coffee shops, restaurants, and the Highline Park. With an entrance to the A, C, E, and L subway trains is on the same block, we could get almost anywhere easily. Greenwich\West Village was one subway stop where there are more restaurants, comedy clubs, jazz, music, coffee shops, and people watching at Washington Square Park. Times Square, Theater Districts, Little Italy, Chinatown, Hells Kitchen, Central Park, and many other places we visited were all less than 15 minutes away. We covered more of the island than any previous trip and the location was key to this, as no place seemed too far.

When not traversing the city, we enjoyed relaxing in the apartment. While the bedrooms where small, the living room, dining room, and kitchen area had more space than we have ever had in NYC. We could easily move around the apartment without running into each other.

The apartment was very quiet. We never had any problems with noise. This was particularly amazing considering busy 8th Avenue was only a few hundred feet away, a high school across the street, and a playground maybe 50 steps from the front entrance.

We did not use the kitchen as much as we had planned, but it seemed to have everything you would expect. We did bring in pizza, halal cart food, and Eileen's Cheesecake and had a few breakfasts in the apartment.

While this was not our first trip to NYC, it was our first time staying in an apartment. Andrea was very polite, informative and accommodating. We had lots of questions about the process, how to pay, how to get to and from the airport, the area, and the whole experience, which she answered fully either via e-mail or phone. Nelson, her husband, was equally informative and accommodating. Even though our flight landed on time, because of a jet-way problem we were 30 minutes late. Nelson, who met us at the apartment, had no problem adjusting his schedule. When we did arrive, he showed us the apartment, how to use the appliances and what remote work what. He then gave us some great recommendations for food and shopping in the area. Andrea was equally accommodating upon leaving, meeting us just before the car service picked us up to take us home.

Will definitely consider stay here again!!!

IDEAL APARTMENT IN AN IDEAL NEIGHBORHOOD!

  • 5 of 5
If you are looking for an apartment to stay at in NY jump on this one right away! Andrea is amazing to work with at every level of the simple process (booking, payment, check-in, check-out). The apartment is spacious, clean, and charming but not so precious that you would feel on edge about breaking anything. It is just around the corner from the A,C,E and L subway stops which was super-handy. There is a proper grocery store (Western Beef) just a short walk away. The neighborhood is a nice mix of yuppy and long-term residents. There is a high-school across the street so the streets can get slightly rambunctious during their break/dismissal. We were two adults and two teens. One teen slept in the living room which was fine. The full-sized bed was too small for two tall people who are used to a European sized bed (160 cm wide) but that was the only negative thing. There is a live-in super who was very helpful and pleasant. There is a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, laundry so that was great. Really I wanted to move in permanently. If you have more questions get my email from Andrea and contact me! (David C., April 2013)
