Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6-7)

This is a three bedroom saltbox house with attached garage. The home has two twin beds, 1 cot, 1 full size bed, 1 queen size bed (downstairs). The cottage is one block from Lake Michigan public access. The Lake MI public access is used primarily by the neighbors in the area as there is not a place to park. One block to Portage lake and many portage lake public entrances clearly marked within 1-5 minute walk.

The home is located on the beginning of the peninsula which makes access to both lakes very easy...a short walk either right or left out the front door.

Granite Island, Glass top dining room table, leather furniture, All tile floors except in living and bedrooms.

Arcadia Bluff Golf Course is 8 miles away. There is a 50's style drive in in Honor, MI about a 40 minute drive! (Cherry Bowl Drive-In). Traverse city is one hour north. Manistee is about 30 minutes south. The little River Band Casino is six miles away.

Portage Point Inn is 2 blocks away complete with marina.

Public Boat access is 1/2 mile away.

Why The Owner chose Onekama

This home is ideally situated between two lakes and so depending on the weather you can choose where you would rather lie in the sand! The home is clean and has new updated furnishings. The home was built by the owner and is about 5 years old. It is a two story with 20 foot ceilings in the living room and 1 bedroom down stairs, Two bedrooms and a half bath up stairs. Attached Garage.

What makes this cabin unique

There are many attractions and activities nearby: 1. Lake Michigan, a five minute walk 2. Portage Lake, a five minute walk 3. Biking 4. Go to a real live Drive-in in Honor Mi, movies start at dusk, 2 movies always play, only 1 ticket to buy for each person in the car over age 15. 5. Arcadia Bluff Golf Course is 8 miles away 6. The Heathlands Golf Course is 5 miles away 7. Manistee National Golf course is 8 miles away 8. Biking trails all around 9. Biking trails in Frankfort 22 miles north 10. Scenic Look out to Lake Michigan about 4 miles away on M22.

Notes: 2 blocks from Lake Michigan, 2 blocks from Portage Lake. Go West on Lake Isle to go to Lake Michigan, Go East on Lake Isle to go to Portage Lake. The Lake Michigan public access has little parking and used mostly by neighbors. There are many clearly marked public access beaches for Portage Lake all within a 5 minute walk. The boat entrance is about 1/2 mile away. Portage Point Inn is five minutes south.

We had a great experience here in July 2011. Very clean, perfect for families, weekend getaways-the house is a nice set-up. It is not a long walk to the Lake MI beach at all (might want to bring a wagon if you have little ones & have lots of toys, snacks, drinks, etc. to carry though...) and is right down the road from the Portage Point Inn. (Again, not a long walk & it's a beautiful walk!) It is far away enough from everything (fireworks, live bands) so you could sleep any time-very quiet, private & safe-but just around the corner from everything. We had 3 teenagers with us- they stayed busy & had a blast as always. Owners extremely accomodating and easy to work with. We would definitely recommend=two thumbs up!

We really enjoyed our stay in this Lake House. Great location - easy access to Lake Michigan and Portage Lake. Thoughtful touches. Clean and useful amenities. Very helpful and informative owners. Would stay here again!
