Under the canopy of seven beautiful Live Oak trees, in historic Clarksville, this 1940's jewel has lots of light, wood floors throughout, spacious open living / dining floor plan, contemporary kitchen with small breakfast table overlooking a lush, secluded backyard garden. Wood paneled TV / library with sleeper sofa. Both bathrooms feature original tile. Seven Oaks is a fabulous blend of original meeting contemporary.

Lady Bird Lake with miles of hike 'n' bike trails, the legendary Barton Springs in Zilker Park, The Long Center for Performing Arts, Zach Scott Theater, Texas State Capital, Austin Convention Center and Pease Park are all very close. Absolutely wonderful property!

House was beautiful, clean and just as pictured. Beds were very comfortable. Accommodations made our Austin visit a pleasure. As former Austinites, we did not want to stay in a hotel. My family of 5 also saved time by not having to travel all over the city to visit family and friends with tired kids in tow. The house is great for entertaining and so spacious we found it more convenient to invite our friends and family to come visit us. Adorable backyard – kids were happy to explore outside. The owner is very friendly and does a great job of maintaining. Great location – a stone’s throw from downtown. I would highly recommend.

Lovely Property!

We were in town for the weekend with another couple and stayed at this wonderful property. It was clean and well maintained. We were pleasantly surprised with the comfortable beds and quality linens. We took a cab downtown nightly for 8 to 10 dollars. The location is great. The backyard is enchanting with the festive lights.

Perfect Home Away from Home

My husband and I had the misfortune of discovering a water leak in our current Austin home. However, we were able to overcome the misery of inconvenient repairs by passing the time in a cottage with all of the charm and cozy comforts we are used to enjoying. The owners made every effort to make our stay pleasurable and it was a joy to explore the restaurants and shops in this friendly and convenient neighborhood. Even buying groceries became a treat...a lovely 1 block stroll puts you right at the front steps of a Fresh Plus! We were also able to entertain small groups of friends in a backyard shaded by huge oaks and set up with a grill. I can't think of a single complaint and am a little disheartened by the fact that we live nearby and can't look forward to our next stay...cheers and enjoy Austin from one of the best spots in town!

I stayed in this CHARMER while transitioning out of home ownership and into a new city. I absolutely LOVED everything about this house and all it's amazing little details. The kitchen was wonderful - and the backyard is GREAT for entertaining. The owners are VERY responsive to any needs that may arise - they got me a grill when requested :-) Walk to Cafe Medicci in the morning - and all the other great restaurants a block away on West Lynn. This home is magical - and should be one everyone's short list when considering a stay in Austin!!!
