Lakefront home with gentle slope to the water's edge. Overlooks Canyon lake & a beautiful, shaded yard. This home sits half-way between Austin & San Antonio on the quiet North side of Canyon Lake. Water activities are easily accessible, both on the lake & on the Guadalupe River (famous for tubing) which is 10 minutes away. Swim or fish right from the property or put your boat in at one of the nearby free boat ramps (closest one is 1 mile away).

This home is in a quiet residential neighborhood, no parties please! Bring your bicycles as the neighborhood loop provides a great place to bicycle for the kids.

We are 13 miles from the Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels & 61 miles from the new F-1 Grand Prix racetrack in Austin.

Local Area: Swim or fish right from the property or launch small watercraft (canoes, kayaks, sail boards, inflatable boats). For larger watercraft, free boat ramp is about 1 mile away. Canyon Lake Marina is about 8 miles away by car. From here you can rent watercraft (sailboats, speed boats, pontoon boats, jet skis & party-barges). Within 10 miles, is the Guadalupe River, famous for tubing...floating down the river on an inner tube. Inner tube rentals are easy to find & river outfitters provide service to return you to your starting point. We are also located about 25 miles from Schliterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels & the San Marcos Outlet Malls. The water park is rated as one of the best water parks in the country. Kids & adults alike will love this park!

In our neighborhood, enjoy the sight of deer, fox, owls, cranes, egrets, ducks, & many more. The tame deer tend to dine right outside the front door. They also enjoy a trek across the lakefront at dusk.

Major Cities Nearby: San Antonio, famous for the Alamo, the River Walk, the Spurs & much more is about 50 miles away. Visit one of the great historic treasures or perhaps spend a day at the San Antonio Zoo, Six Flags Fiesta Texas w/ a large on-site water park included in admission price or Sea World. Two more great options can be combined in one day....Natural Bridge Caverns & Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch (safari style drive through).

You may prefer Austin, about 50 miles to the North. Austin is famous for its live music scene, the state Capitol, Barton Springs pool, a large Mexican Free-Tail bat colony & the University of Texas, home to 50,000 students.

Both cities offer fabulous dining & more entertainment than we can name. There are world-class golf courses available all over Central Texas, along with many theaters, museums & sports venues.

Small towns nearby: Closer to Canyon Lake, you can enjoy small towns like Wimberley, San Marcos, Gruene (pronounced Green), New Braunfels & Fredericksburg to name a few. These towns all have great shopping districts, dining venues & outdoor activities. Wimberley is about 15 miles away & offers a free, large outdoor craft market on the first Saturday of each month (from February-December). Gruene, also about 15 miles away, has a great live music & dining venue, Gruene Hall. If great shopping & German food are your thing, check out Fredericksburg (50 miles away) with a nice scenic drive, especially during spring wildflower season. San Marcos is home to Texas State University & two enormous side-by-side outlet malls (only 35 minutes away).

We had a wonderful time. The Stone's attention to detail makes this house feel luxurious - well-designed and well-stocked kitchen, bathroom feels like a spa, and everything is clear and well-organized. In summer 2009, we began looking for a house on Canyon Lake with the intent to enjoy it ourselves but also offer it for rent to those also looking for a peaceful getaway. We had rented a home on the nearby Guadalupe River the previous year and decided we really liked the area.

Denise purchased this house in 2009

We searched around the lake for a property on the water and found there were few that were actually on the water and did not have a steep cliff leading to the lake. This house had a gentle slope to the water and was in a quiet neighborhood….perfect for us. We decided to overlook the green shag carpeting, yellow and orange linoleum and dark wood paneling because of the amazing view and easy lake access. It also helped that the home was in a quiet neighborhood, our preference.

We may be crazy but we really enjoy home remodeling projects and do a lot of the work ourselves so we decided to go for it. We stripped the interior of the house down to the framing and started over. We finished Phase I (new kitchen, windows, paint, stained concrete floors, one new bath and new lighting) just in time for high season in May 2010. After having amazing success and lots of positive feedback from our guests, we entered phase II (adding a laundry room and remodeling the second bath) in January 2011. Then, with another great rental season under our belts, we entered Phase III, the biggest of them all in January 2012. During this phase, we enlarged the master bedroom and bath to turn into a full master suite with whirlpool bath, vertical spa shower system and walk in closet. We closed in the back porch with large picture windows to add a sunroom and then we added a 750 sf cedar deck with pergola.

We continue to make small improvements to landscaping, etc. but are very pleased with the end product….a beautiful, peaceful place to getaway. We aren’t sure renting was the right thing to do, only because it is packed all summer so we never get to enjoy it during the high season.

SPECTACULAR HOME ON JULY 4TH WEEKEND!!!

This home is truly Unbelievable. Our stay during July 4th weekend was the best ever thanks to the Stones. From the start the Stones were very responsive to my emails and when I arrived and saw the view I was blown away. The details were an added plus and I truly felt the Stones wanted my family to enjoy their home. The open concept was just so inviting and additional room on the back deck. I can't say enough about the convenience of being able to walk down to the lake. I've been coming to Canyon Lake for years and this was the first time I've had this kind of access to the Lake front. Many thanks again to the Stones for a remarkable July 4th. I recommend anybody coming to Canyon Lake...Stay on Canyon Lake at the Stones! Definitely coming back! We will brush up on Canyon Lakes recycling information...I promise.

The gentle slope to the lake and the great views are why we fell in love with the spot in 2009! There are few properties on this lake that have a more gentle slope, so many are very steep. FANTASTIC HOUSE WITH TONS OF AMENITIES.

This house made us feel absolutely pampered. The kitchen was well-stocked, the beds and bathrooms felt luxurious, and everything was clear and organized. In addition, we spent most of the weekend outdoors - the backyard and lake front was great for kids, and the view couldn't be beat.

AWESOME RETREAT!

We LOVED This place. We came as a group of 10 or so women and stayed the weekend together. It was a quiet place of solitude that allowed each of us space to walk around and find quiet time during our weekend. The home is beautifully decorated and the renovation of this home is stunning. We will likely be coming back again and again.

WHAT A WONDERFUL WAY TO END A YEAR AND BEGIN ANOTHER...

Everything about our visit to this exquisite lake home was wonderful! It was truly a marvelous and relaxing getaway! Everything about the home was PERFECT! The owners paid attention to all details - a beautiful kitchen, with wonderful appliances and plenty of cooking utensils, comfortable furniture and beds, upscale bedding, a spa tub and oversized rain shower in the master bedroom, etc. All of those things being said, the best part of it all, was the view! It was truly breathtaking - the sunrises and the sunsets were picture-perfect! The wall of windows allowed for an unobstructed view of the lake. We were there for New Year's and watched fireworks explode on both sides of the lake! There were deer everywhere and the grandkids were mesmerized by them! My thanks to the Stones for allowing us to rent this wonderful property and for being so responsive to any questions we had! I would very heartily recommend anyone wanting to rent a property in the Canyon Lake vicinity, be it summer, winter, spring or fall, to check out this one FIRST!

SLICE OF HEAVEN ON A BEAUTIFUL LAKE!

We stayed at this property 7/14 ~ 7/21 and I can not say enough wonderful things about this home and it's location.. We liked it so much we are now considering moving to the area! Beautiful home, lake, deer, and the owners had it prepared so well I felt like it was my home. If you are considering a vacation on Canyon Lake, TX this is the place too stay. The Guadalupe river is only a few miles from here, boat ramp is less than 2 miles and you don't even leave the community. There are so many things to do within a 30 to 45 minute drive, you couldn't ask for a better location. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets. A slice of Heaven on a beautiful lake!!

WONDERFUL HOME AND VERY COMFORTABLE

Our family stayed over the July 4th weekend and had the best time ever. The amenities in the house - plenty of beds, well-appointed baths, gourmet kitchen, seating, decks and BBQ pit - all made for a very smooth and relaxing weekend.

The access to Canyon Lake beach was the kicker. The kids(2-14yrs) loved splashing along the shore while we adults chatted with our feet in the water. My cousin has a boat on the lake and was able to get close enough to shore that we could load-on right there for some tubing out in the lake.

Our stay at Stone Manor was everything we expected and more!
