Breath Taking Ocean View Dream Home with Pool and Guesthouse

My husband and I rented this gorgeous house for an extended stay in Spring of 2011. We could not have been more thrilled with Casa Candiles. It has beautiful architecture and is filled with lovely art work and books. With a breathtaking view of the Pacific and a saltwater pool that makes for peaceful afternoons of sunning and reading, this casa is beyond compare. We found the house to be sparkling clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. Carmen and Lettie were fabulous caretakers.
We walked to town everyday and enjoyed the beach, shops and restaurants. The rest of our family joined us here for a week and the Calypso restaurant accomodated all of us with a truly special night for our grandaughter's 6th birthday. A local woman sells her cakes at the Sayulita town square in the evening and she made a wonderful "leche" birthday cake for us. The Calypso decorated our table with streamers and confetti.
The people of Sayulita could not be friendlier or more welcoming. The Friday "Farmer's Market" helped us to feel more like "locals." We love Sayulita and Casa Candiles. We hope to come back soon!

Our family of 6 rented the house and guesthouse for a week over Christmas. We did not have a car and you certainly do not need one. We took a taxi to San Francisco one day and went to the beach and had lunch - I nice day trip that you can easily do by taxi. We had a wonderful holiday. The house was well equipped and we loved the location. We walked into town and to the beaches which was great exercise and gave us the flavor of the town en route. The upper balcony was our favorite for naps, cocktails and views. We had Carmen (the housekeeper) prepare a meal for us one night. The food was delicious and we enjoyed watching the preparation. Leti (the house caretaker) was very helpful and she babysat with our grandson one night. It was very helpful that our sons and daughter-in-law spoke Spanish. The beach and bridge across the river in town were compromised by the storm in September, but repairs are being done and it certainly did not take away from our visit. We all agree that our week in Sayulita was an enjoyable one.

I have stayed in both the house and apartment. What you see in the photos IS what you get! What you don't see is the lovely breeze that comes through the house even on the hottest days. And the sunsets from the palapa are often spectacular! The apartment is perfect for 2 people & comfortable for 3 as the layout is not at all cramped. Both places are well equipped & the owners go above & beyond in giving you information on restaurants & activities. It's a pretty simple walk to town ( downhill). And there's nothing better than jumping in the pool on your return trip!
