Casa Cody is a single-level historic adobe home just off Garcia Street, close to Canyon Road and Acequia Madre and is THE ultimate East Side Santa Fe address. In one block you can walk to Downtown Subscription, the favorite coffee house for locals and tourists alike (to get their daily java and hometown newspaper fixes). Canyon Road, with its many galleries, shops and restaurants is only two blocks and the Plaza, the heart of Santa Fe life, is a short 15-minute walk.

Casa Cody provides a casual Santa Fe ambiance with its king master suite, queen bedroom and comfortable country kitchen. You will have every amenity, including cable HDTV, WIFI, and a music system. The furnishings reflect that fusion of styles that make Santa Fe so interesting – southwestern architectural features (saltillo tile, vigas, latillas, nichos) including two kiva fireplaces - with rustic Mexican painted and distressed wood furniture combined with more modern features of American design.

You will luxuriate on the king bed in the large master bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom with colorful tile and walk in shower (only). There is a TV in this room as well as a large closet. This room has a window air conditioner for your sleeping comfort.

The second (queen) bedroom, is located at the other end of the house to provide privacy and looks out onto the courtyard. It has a separate entry. A work space is provided in this room, so could work as an office, if needed. The second bathroom is located just off the living room, and provides a full tub and shower.

The living room comfortably seats five and has a wood-burning kiva fireplace and 32” HDTV hidden in a rustic cabinet.

The dining room easily seats six. It is open to the kitchen and also looks out onto the patio. There is another wood-burning kiva fireplace in this room.

The outdoor space at Casa Cody is delightful. The entire property is enclosed, so is great for dogs, which we welcome. The private patio has a garden area as well as outdoor dining for six (extension table) with umbrella. Since this home is located in the historic district, there is a huge tree shading the outdoor area…very nice!

All amenties are included, linens, fully-equipped kitchen, off-street parking for two medium sized cars, washer & dryer, cable TV, telephone, and WIFI.

A clean, comfortable, and convenient accommodations in a wonderful location.

We met friends at Casa Cody and stayed a week. We live on one coast and they live on the other. Therefore, we needed lots of opportunity to catch up and that is what we did at Casa Cody. Also, within a reasonable walking distance one has all the special features of Santa Fe available especially the galleries on Canyon Road. This rental was special. Glad we found it and that it was available when we wanted it. No complaints.

Loved this very Santa Fe Adobe

A friend and I came for a relaxing week to make a base camp in Santa Fe. Casa Cody was perfect for us with two separate bedroom/bathroom spaces and great communal area in between. I'm a chef and loved the kitchen for when we did not want to eat out. Great location for walking to town. Quiet and comfortable. We slept well. We felt like it was our home and did not want to leave.

Great rental value and excellent location

My husband and I plus 2 small dogs stayed for a week in March. The pictures are accurate. It is not 5 star accommodations but has its own charm. The outside area wasn't as much of a 'yard' as I had hoped but did the job for my girls. I have to say location, location, location. Walking distance to most of Santa Fe's best shopping, art and food. The rental agent was excellent. Very helpful.

Great Place!

My husband, 2 teenage daughters and our golden retrievers stayed here during Spring Break. We skiied at Ski Santa Fe a couple days, ate at some great little spots, stayed in and cooked as well - the yard is very secure for pets, the beds are awesome (especially the Master) and the house is well apportioned for cooking and comfort. Sue was great to work with and we would definitely make a return visit - loved Santa Fe! Easy walking distance to town and close to shopping make this a great little spot for a getaway.

Fun, comfortable adobe in great location

Casa Cody was simply perfect; just the right mix of old Santa Fe ambiance and modern convenience. The home was spotless, both inside and out. The kitchen was very well equipped, plus offered a very nice assortment of glassware and Mexican inspired pottery dishes (as well as a coffee grinder for the fresh beans purchased only a block away!) Seating was plentiful and comfortable, both dining and den, as well as courtyard -- with the added touch of several cozy throws. Our days were spent enjoying Santa Fe on foot (since everything was so close) and relaxing by the Kiva after dinner (quality firewood included!)
Most importantly, Casa Cody hit a homerun on our two primary VRBO requirement:
Location was superb – a peaceful retreat, but very walkable to Canyon Road and the Plaza area. And comfortable beds and bedding – a must!
Thanks for sharing this little oasis with us! We will definitely recommend the property to others and return again ourselves!

Classic Updated Eastside Adobe

This was a terrific house for our ten day visit. With our small dog, the location was perfect for long exploratory walks. Kitchen is well appointed, well stocked spice basics and we cooked breakfasts and several dinners. With widely separate bedrooms, house is comfortable for additional couple or other guest. Master bedroom and bath, with radiant heat floors were large and comfortable. Neighborhood is quiet. Did most of our shopping at the local market, Kaune's, a short walk away. Local coffee house a block away for breakfast or coffee and meeting the neighbors. Many come with their dogs for outside seating. Canyon Road 2 blocks. Plaza is 10 minute walk. Furnishings were Santa Fe casual. Electric gate with surround coyote fence was a safe enclosure for our little dog. House was better than the pictures, was very clean. When we arrive a minor glitch with the wifi was immediately addressed after a call to manager. No other need to contact him.

In season be sure to visit farmers market in Railyard district, we were able to still get fresh roasted chiles, best breakfast in town is Tia Sophia's, for vegetarians, dinner at Body, Casa Sena outside coutyard for lunch or dinner in season with the dog, drinks at sunset at Bell Tower Bar in the La Fonda hotel.

I would definitely recommend this home for a vacation stay, and plan to stay again on our next visit.
