This charming cottage offers privacy and a restful haven at the end of a country road in desirable Lamberts Cove. With great natural light and comfortable furnishings, you’ll feel right at home. On the ground floor is a living room with fireplace, TV, and plenty of room to relax, a dining room with a gracious country table that seats 6 comfortably, a well-appointed kitchen, a mudroom with washer/dryer and a half bath. Both the living and dining rooms have French Doors that open onto a lovely country deck, English gardens and an outdoor shower on a large wooded lot. Upstairs is a bedroom, a full bath, and an open loft area which can be used as a study or for extra sleeping space. The second bedroom above the carraige house is very private with a luxury bathroom.

This unique cottage provides immediate access to Lambert’s Cove Beach, Seth's Pond and myriad walking trails, yet is only minutes away from the ferry, West Tisbury shops, restaurants, theaters and convenience.

About us: Cynthia and I have been coming to the Vineyard for over 25 years, and it has always been our dream to own a home there. We are absolutely delighted to have found this gem in the wonderful Longview neighborhood of Lambert's Cove and to be able to share it with guests, family and friends. Our goal is to create a warm and comfortable home away from home that anticipates your desires and enhances your island experience.

Winter hideaway

I usually rent at least one vacation home a year, and I've had some bad luck lately. But my ship came in with this gorgeous house. We went between xmas and New Year's, and it was the perfect place to curl up in front of the fire, read and watch movies. You are close enough to town to go out to eat or go shopping, but situated in a development on a long, winding wooded road with lots of privacy. This is a home that the owners actually live in, and their love for their home is apparent. I would happily rent again.

Peaceful and Remote

The house and grounds are beautiful, and we had a fantastic, restful vacation. The one drawback for us was the distance to the beach and towns... which may not be a drawback depending on your preference, but we are an active, young couple and were hoping to be able to go for walks (at least to the beach), but found ourselves needing to take the car everywhere.

The property was very well maintained, clean when we arrived, and very comfortable (especially the great dining room table for puzzles and home-cooked dinners). The outdoor shower is divine. The separate apartment over the carriage house is perfect for friends vacationing together or families with older children.

I would certainly recommend this rental, with the caveat that it isn't really walking distance to anything (including the beach listed as an amenity). If that's not a concern for you, this location is a wonderful choice.

My family and I were so delighted with the wonderful location and the way the house was furnished, light and airy and secluded, that it was difficult to wander away and explore the island. My aunt and uncle enjoyed the privacy and the luxury of their suite above the garage and when we were together in the evenings, there was a place for everyone to have their privacy, indoors and out. I miss the place very much, as does my family and we hope to go back as soon as we can

We enjoyed our time on Martha's Vineyard in this very comfortable cottage. The proximity to Lambert's Cove Beach was very convenient and we managed to go to the beach just about every day. The deck was a fun place to relax and enjoy our dinners surrounded by the beautiful gardens. We enjoyed every moment of our vacation in this lovely home.

The house has lots of charm and character, with quality furnishings, beamed ceilings, a convenient and comfortable layout, a beautiful deck and garden, and one of the most peaceful outdoor showers we've ever experienced. Mitch and Cynthia are welcoming hosts and clearly care about their guests' vacation experience.The house is well-appointed, with everything a visitor to the island would need, from gas grill and lobster pot, to beach chairs, cooler and umbrella--they even had EVOO and balsamic for our cooking needs. Lambert's Cove Beach is a 5-minute drive and Longpoint is about 20 minutes. The house is great for a couple seeking a getaway or a small family.
