Located above 3500' just off one of 'America's 100 Scenic Roads,' hwy. 221, and five minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Wildberry Cottage is nestled right beside Pisgah National Forest.
Three ski resorts are within a half-hour's drive, and the beautiful towns of Blowing Rock and Linville are only nine miles away in opposite directions. Grandfather Mountain is just six miles down the road, and Tweetsie Railroad and Boone, the home of Appalachian State University, is only a half-hour's drive from Wildberry Cottage's front door.
The area is known for its festivals, including Blowing Rock's monthly Art in the Park during the summer months, and the annual Highland Games are held at Grandfather Mountain each July. The famous Linn Cove Viaduct is just a few miles from 'home,' and the famous Linville Falls and Gorge area is practically in your backyard.
The view from the front porch draws your eye across scores of mountain ranges to a distance of sixty miles on a clear day.
