Can't wait to go back to Boston!

Can't wait to go back to Boston!

The listing was accurate re: location, layout, amenities, & pictures. The property was clean and well maintained. The owner provided good customer service. I would definitely recommend this property & I would gladly stay here again myself.

I was looking for somewhere with a kitchen so I could stay on budget during my trip & not eat out 3 meals per day. This was slightly cheaper than a hotel. I am a 30-year old female, travelling alone, and I felt safe and comfortable in this property and in this neighbourhood at all times.

It was a 10-15 minute walk to get to the Prudential Centre and Copley Square which is just east of there. I spent 2 of the days using the Old Town Trolley for touring around the city. I was able to walk to Stop 9 for the Trolley in about 10 minutes from the apartment. I also went to 2 Red Sox games at Fenway Park which I also walked to. Fenway was about a 30min walk. I walked back by myself after both the games which were at night and I felt completely safe the entire time. I didn’t take one cab during my trip, luckily the weather cooperated. I walked everywhere. I recommend using the Trolley Tour map to get around this city, even when not using the trolley. It was very helpful.

A tip on transportation from the Airport: The host suggested I could take the Silver Line Bus for a few dollars that would take me to a couple blocks from the property. Outside the terminal I got on the silver line bus but it didn’t take me to where the host suggested. This bus was free, however. The route ended at the South Station. I used the GPS on my phone to walk to the property which took about an hour from the South Station.
Later I saw a sign at the SW corner of Boylston and Dartmouth that said Back Bay Logan Express $5. This shuttle is direct to the airport (all terminals) and runs 7 days a week every 20 minutes! I took this option when it was time to go back to the airport. In future trips I will be looking for this when I arrive in Boston. For $5 it will take me to Copley Square and then a 10 minute walk to the property from there.

One suggestion for the hosts would be to leave info/directions in the apartment as to where the closest grocery stores are located in the area. I got groceries at the Star Market near the Prudential Centre, but it would have been easier to get the groceries from somewhere closer.

I have no complaints about the accommodations and would happily return.

Great place, great location. Loud upstairs though.

Very nice place - pictures extremely accurate. Fantastic location, subway very close.

Only reason not getting 5 stars is because the owner was very noisy upstairs - their dog kept scratching its paws on the damn floor; little bugger needs a clipping!

The owner also barged into our room when I was pretty much naked - she thought we had left yesterday, got her days mixed up. Honest mistake, but still pretty awkward!

Owner's Response: I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I will take Polie for a mani/pedi this weekend. Sorry again for the date mix-up. Please remember, I never entered the apartment. I didn't get past the door. However, it shouldn't have happened.

The apartment was exactly as described.

We were greeted by Karoline and her family. The apartment is a basement (with separate entrance) apartment and the owners live upstairs. It was very clean, comfortable and generally quiet. Great location, close to everything. Owner gave lots of helpful suggestions for dining and sightseeing. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Great location and quality

  • 5 of 5
As a young couple, we searched for a place in Boston for 2 nights that was in a good location, nice, and under $200/night. We were very pleased. Walking distance from many restaurants and shops. There is a Hubway bike station around the corner that we used to get to the other sides of town. A cab ride was around the corner as well. There are 2 Crossfit gyms within 15 min walk, which was great. The apt was clean, accommodating, and had everything we needed. The manager, Karoline, helped us find parking for our stay, which saved us on costs. We highly recommend!

Terrific city retreat

  • 5 of 5
As has been our custom for the last many years, we again used this pleasant cozy apartment as our Boston pied a terre for January and February. The location is fantastic, and accommodations are perfect. The best restaurants in Boston are within blocks, and there’s jazz and classical music close at hand. We also make sure we drop by SoWa First Fridays nearby on Harrison Ave where a multitude of galleries and artist studios hold a monthly open house. The apartment is well maintained; furnishings are updated regularly. We highly recommend it and the owners Karoline and Todd. Staying here has been a delightful tradition we look forward to each year.
