Stay in this safe, tranquil neighborhood in the heart of the Ocean Park district of world renowned Santa Monica, California. Charming, clean and comfortable with wood floors throughout. Comfortable tempur-pedic mattresses with pima cotton sheets. The kitchen is equipped for gourmet cooking or microwave meals. The private garden is surrounded by professionally landscaped shrubs with two patios for outdoor dining or a relaxing barbecue after a day at the beach or sightseeing.

Amenities: Flat screen TV, High Speed Wi-Fi, Digital Cable and an extensive DVD library. BBQ and for the coffee lovers we have a Francis & Francis cappuccino machine, drip coffee machine and cafetiere available. We have a few bikes and boogie boards for the beach.

About Teresa

We have lived in Santa Monica for over 25 years. My daughter has just gone off to college and my son is a freshman at Santa Monica High School. We are originally from the UK.

The House has the perfect mix of privacy and location. Hidden behind tall hedges is a peaceful atmosphere. We have been very fortunate to have people who have found the house and neighborhood relaxing and enjoyable. The usual response from our guests, 'just what they are looking for'.

What makes this house unique

We are a busy family but we always have time for guests who need a little extra help. We have booked Laker tickets for the family who had a problem with their credit card, recommended doctors and given a lovely Italian family a ride to airport because they were have trouble navigating the freeway.

Very comfortable and homely

This is a great little find in a quiet little neighbourhood just minutes away from thriving downtown Santa Monica. We received a warm welcome from the owners and were made very comfortable. This small bungalow offers a cosy little retreat from the busyness of the LA area. It is like being at home. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival.

The key to this place is park the car and walk (or take the bus). The walk into downtown feels a little busy as you cross the bridge over the 24 lane highway (exaggeration) but once you are there, its lively with great restaurants, bars and shops. The walk down to the beach front is more pleasant through the side streets and it is a beautful stroll down the promenade to the pier.

This is a great way to visit Santa Monica and west LA. Forget the faceless and expensive hotels, come and feel like part of the community. Its the best way to relax into the SoCal way of life.

Wonderful!

My husband and I, and our three kids had a great stay in Santa Monica over Spring break. The house and location are perfect and the owners live right next door and were super laid back and really helpful. The house is set back from the street behind bushes so it feels like your own little haven, and is really airy and light. They have a very well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels, sheets and beach stuff.
Perfect spot for families! I'd definitely stay there again!

We had a great stay in Santa Monica this summer, me my husband and our two kids (10 & 13). The house was exactly like we hope it would be. Clean, perfectly furnished for a short stay. The little garden was so cute and very well appreciated. Teresa and her husband, the owners were very nice. They kindly provided us bikes and body boards to go to the beach which was pretty close to the place. The situation of the flat was very good and you could access to supermarkets and nice restaurants by walk or by bike.
It's was nice to ride from the house to "Venice Beach" or to ride to some other lively neighborhood nearby from the house.
We had a rental car but didn't have to use it in Santa Monica, which felt like a charming little village on the ocean for us. It was great, after a morning trip to L.A., to come back home to Santa Monica, to take the bikes and the bodyboards and to spend the afternoon on the beach or to spend the evening on Santa Monica Pier. It was difficult to leave and we hope to come back again soon.
We definetely recommand this place !

L'appartamento è situato in una zona molto comoda di Santa Monica. A pochi minuti a piedi dalla spiaggia, dal Pier e dalla terza strada, è arredato con gusto e sobrietà, è super attrezzato e molto pulito. Vengono forniti l'attrezzatura da spiaggia e le biciclette, c'è persino un ottimo BBQ Weber. Che dire: da consigliare assolutamente.

Great Location

we stayed in this property on the first week on our three week holiday. The house is centrally located in a residential area, an easy walk to the beach, shops even the hop on hop off bus stops is only a couple of blocks away. There is no view from the house, but the garden is cosy, and you are not over looked.

The house is very clean, with plenty of bath towels, beach towels, bikes and beach toys provided.

My only slight critisim would be the kitchen could do with a little remodelling , and perhaps a clear out of some the eclectic mix of plates, glasses and mugs might be due, hence four stays not five star ..

The wood flooring throughout the property gives it a light modern feel.

Unfortunatly during our stay the temperatures were in the mid 90's, and we noticed the lack air con, the owner thankfully gave us a fan, which helped to cool it down.

overall we had a pleasant stay.
