The owners, Ron and Stacy, live in Houston, TX, but manage to visit our dream home, Aspen Leaf Chalet, many times a year.
The Owner purchased this house in 2007
We found this property while visiting Estes Park on a fall vacation. It wasn't quite completed yet, so we had a lot of input on the finishes. We also decorated the home ourselves and it turned out to be one of the warmest and most welcoming homes we've ever been in.
This home is located on Rams Horn Mountain and sits at about 8500 feet altitude. The home faces RMNP and looks at the numerous mountain peaks of the Continental Divide. The views are truly more fabulous than the home.
Our home is on Rams Horn Mountain and sits at 8500' elevation in the alpine forest of Roosevelt National Forest. The views of Rocky Mountain National Park and the mountains of the Continental Divide are unsurpassed. You can walk right into RMNP from our home. Lily Lake, inside the park, is about a two mile easy walk one way. The home also overlooks the famous YMCA of the Rockies. From inside the park, Rams Horn Mountain looks like it is part of RMNP. The entrance to the park is about 2 to 3 miles from the home. We routinely see mule deer, elk, falcons, and numerous species of beautiful birds. We occasionally see bobcat, wild turkeys and black bear all right from the home.
The home is somewhat secluded with no neighbors on either side or in front of us and the glorious views of RMNP from the rear.
