This tropical refuge is only steps away from the gorgeous Ke’Iki beach conveniently located in the middle of the North Shore’s “7 Mile Miracle” surfer paradise where you can watch spectacular sunsets, take long strolls or collect sea shells.

This new unit contains 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and their own private bathrooms, a breezy living room with 2 couches (one converts into a bed), New 60 inch LED TV with cable, DVD player and high speed internet, a spacious dining area with a table that sits 6, a fully equipped open kitchen with bar and granite countertops, stove/oven, full size refrigerator/freezer, dish washer, and microwave. Our house was designed to be environmentally friendly. It uses solar hot water heating and has a PV system installed on the roof that generates most of the electricity used. It features water saving features and energy efficient lighting. The house is designed to use the trade winds for natural ventilation and fans to keep it cool and, like most homes in Hawaii, does not have central air-conditioning. Most of our guests find it quite comfortable but if you wish to have air conditioning, we have portable units available for the bedrooms that can be installed for you on request. There is an additional charge of $25 per day for power used if A/C is requested.

Discounts and minimum stay policy:

Sorry we do not offer discounts as we feel our property is fairly priced and a great value if you are looking for a quality experience, please check the reviews written by our guests. We are also firm on our minimum stay of 4 nights, please don't request quotes for stays of less than 4 nights.

There is one exception to our no discounts rule, however:

The LAST MINUTE SPECIAL:

If you are looking to make a reservation less than 7 days in advance, and our place is still available, we will give you a 20% discount off the nightly rate.

Please note: Although this is a peaceful beachside neighborhood, there was a house under construction in the neighborhood during the summer to the early winter of 2012 and some tenants experienced some construction noise during the day. As of Dec 20th 2012, the construction in the neighborhood was completed.

Location, location, location…

Since I am originally from cities, I quickly became used to having something to do…constantly. Yet as escapees from the city, if you are longing for a slower paced provincial life and all of its positive attributes (like catching our own fish and BBQ’ing it on the deck for dinner, buying fresh organic produce at local farmers markets, interacting with people who respect each other – and nature, gorgeous landscapes and rainbows, and so forth). The wonderful thing about this location is that you don’t have to compromise our desire to always have something fun to do or to be in very close proximity to all of the North Shore’s main nature & sports attractions/markets/restaurants/galleries, etc, while at the same time enjoying all of the countryside lifestyle perks, nestled away on a private beach front lane leading 15 seconds (walk) from our doorstep to a phenomenal white sandy beach.

Aside from enjoying the benefits of a brand new, luxurious, fully furnished rental unit in a prime location, it’s actually the “basic,” everyday little things that make this place so special…like falling asleep to the sound of crickets singing and waves crashing, waking up to birds chirping and the sun shining (there are a lot of windows and sliding doors in this unit which makes it bright if desired), looking at the bright green coconut palms and Hawaiian foliage almost makes you feel like you’re inside a giant tree house, walking next door to the beach and watching whales play just 300 meters from shore (which is an amazing sight!), eating dinner on the deck while star gazing, and being just minutes (walk) away from the world’s best surfing and scuba diving spots…are just a few of the very unique benefits of our “coconut palm haven.”

The location is fantastic but very hard to find. Pay close attention the directions he will send you prior to your arrival. Some things I wish I had known or I missed in the small print:
1. You will have go up two flights of stairs with all your luggage and groceries. If you get there late like us and are exhausted it looks like 10 flights of stairs. This was also somewhat of an issue for my husband's mother who is in her late 60's.
2. The washer/dryer is outside in the open garage and you can't wash early or late because you will disturb the neighbors. On the plus side detergent and dryer sheets were provided.
3. There is no air conditioning which has never been a problem for me before but the humidity was so bad during our visit we would wake up sweating every night. It might be worth it to rent the HVAC unit.
4. The houses are right on top of each other and you can hear the neighbors (since your windows are open).
5. The Bonzai Pipeline is within walking distance via an awesome trail. It took us a couple of days to find it but once we did we walked down every morning to watch the surfers. SO COOL.
6. Foodland is very conveniently located but very expensive. If you can go to Costco prior to driving to the North Side of the Island you will save a lot of money.
7. He does have bikes he will loan you and two beach chairs. What he does not have is beach towels. Be sure to bring your own beach towels or you will need to buy some.
8. We only had four bath towels available to us.
9. The steps down to the beach have been washed away from a recent storm. I would recommend going to the next beach access down the street.

Our family loved everything about the house. The location was great and the house worked out perfectly. We used the BBQ, enjoyed the sunsets and felt like we were living in the tree canopy. We saw some of the best surfers in the world catch waves at the pipeline during a large swell.

We've stayed four times on the North Shore in winter, and this house was awesome. I would recommend this rental to anyone who wants a north shore experience without any hesitation.

I stayed at this property with my family for a week, and it was absolutely amazing. You are steps from the beach and the neighborhood is peaceful and quiet at night, none of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. There are several beautiful beaches all with in driving distance of the home as well. We went down to Honolulu for about 20mins and i nearly lost my mind with all the traffic and people. If you are looking to get away for awhile and relax and experience Hawaii I highly recommend the North Shore and this property. We definitely will be returning next year.

Excellent adventure

My husband and our friends spent a wonderful month a Coconut Palm Haven. We were in a short walk to the beach which we enjoyed almost every night for the wonderful waves (huge) and the sun sets. Whale watching was also a pleasure from this beach actually from most of them. This place was perfect if you are looking for total relaxation. We got to see Volcom pipeline surfing contest and other events.
There are beaches near by for snorkeling and swimming. We hiked, saw albatrosse nesting, swam with the sharks,. monk seals and turtles. The beach with the turtles is at a short drive from here go early as it has become a tourist and bus stop. I reccommend this place Jang asked if he could improve on anything and I forgot to tell him he should get some beach towels as they take too much room in the luggage. If you need to buy some towels go to Costco and get the large bath towels they are cheaper than any beach towels we could find and they are nicer. That was the only down side.
If you could call it one.
