A small home on the Harraseeket River, near South Freeport Harbor comes well stocked and decorated. It is available for weekly rental during June, July and August. You may be fortunate enough to experience a full moon while staying on the river. Some of us believe, there is nothing prettier than a full moon on the Harraseeket.

A canoe or kayak can be launched right from the front yard. The Harraseeket River is delightful for kayaking, as well as the gateway to Freeport Harbor and into Casco Bay. Just five minutes away is downtown Freeport, home of LL Bean and many well-known retail outlets. From Freeport, you are well positioned to make day trips to many Maine coastal beaches and towns. In Freeport, you have Wolf Neck State Park and Winslow Park to enjoy. Portland is just 19 miles away for access to city life as well as ferries to islands in Casco Bay.

Our Harraseeket Home...: This lovely home is perfect for a romantic getaway or kayaker's dream vacation. Enjoy beautiful views of Casco Bay and South Freeport's own Harraseeket River. Minutes from downtown Freeport and a variety of beaches both north and south of us (Popham, Scarborough, Reid State Park, Higgins, etc). An ideal spot to relax and rejuvenate.

Charming Maine Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming Maine cabin. When we arrived, we were delighted to find that the photos appropriately represented the property. A wall of glass leading out to a deck framed the lovely yard anchored by enormous trees - along with a fabulous view of the river. The house was clean, beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was equipped to fit our needs. The furnishings were colorful and the location was quiet and very convenient to downtown Freeport. The owner was very responsive to our questions and we would not hesitate to recommend this property.

GREAT HOUSE, BEAUTIFUL VIEW

I rented this house for two-week periods during the last two summers. The location is wonderful, the house is very comfortable, and has everything you need. The living room, kitchen, and deck look out onto the Harraseeket River, which is a wide inlet from Casco Bay. There is a state park across the river, so there are no interruptions to the great view. Freeport has wonderful shopping and is very close. South Freeport is quiet, except for the wonderful Harraseeket restaurant, which is nearby. I recommend the lobster roll, crab sandwich, or fresh fish sandwiches without reservation. It is crowded in summer, but the wait is worth it for the view and the fresh seafood. Portland is also nearby, with many wonderful cultural, shopping, and foodie adventures. This is an ideal vacation spot, and I hope to rent Annie's house in future years. She is friendly and helpful. Enjoy your stay in this great house!
