GUEST HOUSE ON SECLUDED SHETLAND CREEK

Creekside is a beautifully decorated guest house in the woods. Centrally located to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City, it was the perfect place for 2 couples to call home while exploring the area. The woods and creek are beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The fall colors were at their peak and the weather couldn't have been better!

The house is well-maintained and cozy. The pictures and description are accurate. The upstairs living room was a comfortable place to relax after a day of sightseeing. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen and the washer/dryer! Our host is friendly and informative.

The history and geology that formed the beautiful scenery is fascinating. The Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore Visitor's Center in Empire has educational displays for all ages. Exploring all the Michigan lighthouses is now on my bucket list.

We enjoyed Sleeping Bear Dunes, Pearce Stocking scenic drive, wineries on both Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas, stopping in Leland's Fish Town for fresh fish, Gabe's smoked meats in Maple City, and Art's Tavern in Glen Arbor for good food.

We recommend Creekside for couples or a small family. It will be our home away from home the next time we are in the area.

Creekside was a wonderful place to spend a week's vacation. We truly enjoyed our time both at the house and visiting the small towns and beaches in the area.

The rental itself was very clean, cozy, and looked even better than the pictures show. We had all the amenities we could have wanted in the kitchen, bathrooms, and in the main living area upstairs.

We had a 13 month old baby at the time of the stay and although we had to move some furniture and decor around in order to make the rental babyproof, it was easy enough to do. The upstairs living area was a great place for her to crawl around and play with her toys in. She also really enjoyed the creek nearby, walking on the trail by the rental, and sitting on the front concrete patio.

There are so many cute towns nearby which made easy trips for a few hours. Each night, we went to the beach on Lake Michigan, only a 5 minute drive away.

If we return to the Leeleanau Peninsula, or have family or friends in the area, we will definitely stay again and/or recommend they stay here.

We loved staying here for our vacation. It was so peaceful and clean. The bedrooms were accomodable for our family of four and the living room was very roomy and comfy. The washer/dryer were so handy as well as the full bathtub for our daughters to take bubble baths in. We enjoyed relaxing on the patio outside as well as walking down to the beautiful creek. You have put alot of thought into making a wonderful guest house for people to enjoy their vacations in and we appreciate it. We would definetely reccomend this place to everyone we know, and look forward to returning next year.
