Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5
This property was the perfect vacation home for my husband, 6 year old daughter and I. Very clean and has all of the amenities you need and more. Bedrooms and living area are larger than the pictures make them appear. Having a dresser in each bedroom was a definite plus. Great location for touring all over the Leelanau Peninsula. The mosquitos were quite awful so we did not spend much time outside but they are awful everywhere this year. With so many things to do in the Leelanau Peninsula we would not have had much time to spend outside anyways. Wifi is not the best. I have been renting VRBO's for 8+ years and I would definitely recommend this property.

A great week at Creekside

  • 5 of 5
My family enjoyed our stay at Creekside very much. Central location between Glen Arbor and Leland made for an easy trip here and there. Creekside was very comfortable, clean and was well stocked with all the amenities we needed to be comfortable, have lovely dinners at 'home' and prep our cooler for the beach. Tastefully decorated with a beachy feel, comfortable beds and couches. Great selection of books and some fun board games. We will be back for sure!

Creekside Review

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I stayed in the Guest House for the weekend while we explored the Traverse City area. The house was beautifully decorated, well maintained, and very cozy. We had everything we needed (including washer and dryer--a nice touch!!) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The listing description is quite accurate and the photos are true representations of the Guest House. We'd definitely recommend this property (in fact, we heard about it through friends who have stayed there in the past and highly recommended it to us). The location is perfect as it's right between Leelanau and Old Mission Peninsulas/Traverse City to the east and Lake Michigan/Sleeping Bear Dunes to the west. Anyone who chooses the Guest House will not be disappointed...it's lovely!!

Everything you need and more! Clean!

  • 5 of 5
My family recently stayed at this lovely home. It had everything we needed: the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots/pans; all linens and towels were provided; nice washer and dryer, just to name a few. I tend to be a bit picky when it comes to cleanliness...this place is very clean. Ed and Dawn do a wonderful job in the upkeep of this home. We surely appreciate their efforts. And the price was right! The pictures truly reflect the condition of the home.

Just 2 miles from the rental in either direction on M22 there is access to very nice beaches! And, a few miles away is Sleeping Bear Dunes & the newly paved Heritage Bike Trail...just beautiful country. Also, take M22 about 24 miles to Northport and visit the most beautiful rocky beach at Peterson Park. Head south on M22 about 25 miles & visit the lovely town of Frankfort...more bike trails here:)

Both the rental and the area are just beautiful.

A Beautiful Cottage

  • 5 of 5
If you would like to visit a place of great natural beauty-hear the call of loons flying overhead, owls in the surrounding forests, the ripple of Shetland Creek and swim at the nearby beaches of Lake Michigan-you'll enjoy Creekside Cottage. You'll be staying in a guesthouse with every comfort-tastefully decorated and well maintained. Your hosts are generous and thoughtful. Staying at Creekside is a pleasurable, satisfying experience.

Quiet, Secluded, Great Base for Sightseeing!

  • 5 of 5
Creekside is a beautifully decorated guest house in the woods. Centrally located to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City, it was the perfect place for 2 couples to call home while exploring the area. The woods and creek are beautiful, clean, and peaceful. The fall colors were at their peak and the weather couldn't have been better!

The house is well-maintained and cozy. The pictures and description are accurate. The upstairs living room was a comfortable place to relax after a day of sightseeing. We especially appreciated the well stocked kitchen and the washer/dryer! Our host is friendly and informative.

The history and geology that formed the beautiful scenery is fascinating. The Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore Visitor's Center in Empire has educational displays for all ages. Exploring all the Michigan lighthouses is now on my bucket list.

We enjoyed Sleeping Bear Dunes, Pearce Stocking scenic drive, wineries on both Old Mission and Leelanau peninsulas, stopping in Leland's Fish Town for fresh fish, Gabe's smoked meats in Maple City, and Art's Tavern in Glen Arbor for good food.

We recommend Creekside for couples or a small family. It will be our home away from home the next time we are in the area.
