|Minimum Stay||2 - 3 nights|
This apartment is located on 48th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues. You are literally in the center of it all. Despite its central location, it's quiet and has the perfect balance of being steps away from Times Square and all major NYC attractions... while still allowing you to experience the authentic NYC neighborhood feel. You will receive professional and friendly communication with me and I'll always be a phone call or email away to help you make the most of your NYC experience. Looking forward to having you as my guest!
Times Square, Theater District-Walk to best of NYC: This is a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment that's literally steps from TIMES SQUARE and the Theater District, but you won't lose any sleep because it's actually really quiet because it doesn't face the Avenue traffic. There's even a little garden that you overlook down below. You will be located on 48th St between 8th and 9th Avenues (closer to 8th) and can walk to so many great NYC attractions like the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings, Rockefeller Center, some of the most famous restaurants in NYC, Museums like the MoMA, and even Central Park! It's also 4 blocks from Grand Central and 1-2 blocks from every subway and train there is, so you even can get to Greenwich Village, Chelsea or SoHo in minutes!. You really can do everything in NYC if you stay here!!!
HUGE! Richly Decorated and newly renovated. : This apartment is absolutely HUGE by NYC standards and almost everything is completely new and was renovated in April 2010, including the bathroom and kitchen, and freshly refinished hardwood floors. High ceilings and lots of sunlight contribute to it's bright and airy feel. The exposed brick wall and marble entry and stairways make this Art Deco Pre-War building and authentic New York abode with so much character and depth that you'll immediately feel at home in your New York apartment. It's super clean and you won't be struggling for space...even if there's 6 of you! Kitchen is new and modern with Stainless appliances, brand new refrigerator, everything you need to whip something up to eat, and even a cute window seat. It has a large TV with DVD and cable service, and High Speed, Secure WiFi. Bathroom is pristine with towels and toiletries provided.
Sleeping Accommodations: : This apartment has 2 sunny bedrooms with nice size closets for all you bring with you. The first bedroom has a comfy full size bed, roomy closet and is super quiet because it faces no Streets or Avenues and has a garden in the lot next door down below. 2nd has 2 Select Comfort Sleep Number beds. These are the ones that have adjustable firmness at the touch of a button, so you can make them feel just like your bed at home. It's perfect for kids or for parties where it's not just couples...but you can push them together if you like to accommodate a couple. It also has a nice size closet for all your clothes. And just like Breakfast at Tiffany's, there's a fire escape out this window and a nice tree to seclude you just enough from 48th Street down below. Finally, the couch in the living room folds out for 2 more to sleep. The living room is very large so there's also plenty of lounging room with a really big TV in the armoire and a stereo where you can even hook up your iPod!
This was our first trip to New York, and our first Christmas away from home for our family of five. Charlene's place was just as described - room enough for us all, no noise to speak of considering the location so close to so much activity, and a comfortable place to unwind - much more inviting than a hotel room. The location couldn't have been any better - it really is walking distance from so much, and a very short walk to the subway for anything further. And Charlene was so helpful - I swear she should've charged us extra for being our personal concierge! We tried not to take advantage of her hospitality, but whenever we had a question - locations, dining suggestions, entertainment, she responded within minutes with her advice. A shout to Chris too - he was there to greet us upon our arrival and was equally as courteous and helpful. Thanks, Charlene! We hope to be back soon!
My Mother, sister, and I stayed in Charlene's apartment for four nights. It was the perfect location for our trip...one block away from all the restaurants in Hell's Kitchen...a very short walk to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and even Central Park (if you don't mind a longer stroll). We ate a wonderful dinner and breakfast directly across the street at Patzeria (highly recommend dining there - delicious food, nice service, and family friendly). The apartment is located on the 3rd floor so keep that in mind if you have heavy luggage or have difficulty walking upstairs. The space itself is cozy and very comfortable. My only suggestion would be to bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper and it is the weekend (lots of street noise from the bedroom facing 48th). Charlene was a great host, always responding to my texts within minutes. I would highly recommend staying at her apartment and look forward to coming back again one day!
A friend and I stayed 6 nights here. The apartment was exactly as advertised, with all the amenities we required and the booking and arrival arrangements worked really well. This is in a perfect spot for all the midtown sights and numerous subway stations are within a few blocks. Thanks Charlene!
A great little find in New York! Charlene was a wonderful host from the moment we booked, and Chris the "meet and greet" man was great. The apartment had enough space for us (3 adults and an 8 year old), and was well equipped with everything we needed to cook evening meals during our stay. I can highly recommend this owner and property to anyone looking for a holiday apartment in the Times Square area.
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in November while I ran the NYC marathon. We wanted the extra bedroom so that I wouldn't wake her up when I had to get up at 5am :)
The check-in and check-out process went very smooth, and there were no disputes afterwards, so the entire experience was great.
We had a great time staying here. Apartment was clean and comfortable.
The street and immediate neighborhood felt very safe too. There are several restaurants across the street, and it is very close to 7th Ave and the subway.
I would stay here again, for 2 or 3 people. (More than 3 would start to feel cramped for me, but that depends on your own need for space)
This apartment was PERFECT for our family of five. The photos accurately depict the apartment: cozy, well-stocked, and clean. The kids really appreciated having a place to unwind at the end of the day and to play with their toys.
One of our favorite parts of renting this property was that we got the New York apartment experience very near to Times Square, but still in a residential area. We enjoyed getting takeout, running to the grocery down the street, eating breakfast in our own kitchen, and even having leftovers available for late-night munchies. There are a zillion places to eat nearby; we ate breakfast and dinner at the Italian place directly across the street and had a great experience.
We highly recommend getting an apartment instead of a hotel; we'll choose an apartment over a hotel for any stay over a couple nights. We've recommended this apartment to everyone we know, and we hope to come back soon!
This is what NYC is all About!! You're 1 block away from the heartbeat of New York, TIMES SQUARE, and still on a block that let's you enjoy the 'Neighborhood' feel we love about living here. Get to SoHo, Chelsea, West Village, Central Park, Madison Square Garden, Jacob Javits Center, Empire State Bldg, Rockefeller Center....EVERYTHING in just minutes!! This is a fantastic apartment with a warm and cozy feeling, but with lots of Space for everyone in your party. Sleeps 6! Great for families, too. Come to NYC & Enjoy!!
