My husband and I insist on a very high standard when it comes to our accommodations away from home. Dolphin Terrace lived up to all our expectations and the luxury of our own salt water swimming pool was a welcome Zen experience, at the end of each busy day.
As our holiday was mixed with business, we found the home a pleasure to both welcome guests for meetings or to dine. We had so many options, be it the private office, formal dining or relaxing in the family room that was open to the dramatic kitchen, all with the view of the private yard and pool. One Saturday afternoon we had a casual event catered for by the Newport Rib Company. What a treat!
Our stay in Corona Del Mar was over much to soon and the temptation to center our activities around our accommodation left little time to enjoy the many fine dining adventures of the area. However, we did enjoy two productions at the Orange County Performing Arts Center. If you choose to take in a show, I recommend dining at Scotts Seafood or Marche Modern in South Coast Plaza shopping center.
I'm delighted to give our recommendation, as we place this home at the top of our many Newport Beach visits. Our expectations were certainly met both in sophistication and comfort, with the high quality of amenities being more then one could expect. The convenience of taking early morning walks around charming Balboa Island then taking the ferry across the harbor to the Newport Beach Peninsula for walks along the ocean side beach was my favorite, while my husband favored the short walk direct to the golf course and tennis club, or occasionally to Corona Del Mar Village.
