Located on a quiet shore of remote Tomhegan Cove. Enjoy Maine's Moosehead Lake at its secluded and relaxing best! Away from the hustle and bustle, your summer vacation rental will be like turning back time to the pristine Lake of decades ago. From the front deck are beautiful views of surrounding mountains, including Mt. Katahdin. Easy snowmobile access to ITS trail system and Squaw Mountain ski center. Great mountain biking, hiking, wildlife watching and cross-country skiing right from your door. Fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling too. Brand new cabin, nicely appointed and fully equipped. Very comfortable year around, heated for winter comfort.

Moosehead Lake as it used to be: The northern reaches of Moosehead are still peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. Tomhegan Cove is located in the northwest corner of the lake, above Mt. Kineo. Accessed over well maintained dirt roads, the hustle and bustle of the southern part of the lake around Greenville is over 20 miles away...by water. You can enjoy solitude, loon songs, eagles, and luxurious comfort just a few feet from the shoreline.

Canoes and kayaks are available for rental, paddle the shoreline or explore a tributary. You may find the cell phone coverage spotty but there is a landline phone available. You will need a calling card to make long distance calls.
