Notes: Located on a bluff on Lagoon Pond in Oak bluffs, with tidal salt water on two sides, this home has a modern kitchen, three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. The house is built entirely of cedar, inside and out. The lower level has a large living-room (with a stone fireplace, large flat screen TV, and view of the water), and kitchen/dining room (with dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer, microwave, and granite counters). The upper level has a master bedroom (with king-size bed, large closet, and a modern private bath with steeping tub and power jets) which opens to a deck with room for several chairs and has a great wide view of Lagoon Pond and Vineyard Haven beyond. The second and third bedrooms also are on the upper level (queen beds). The property has stairs that go down to a private beach and a private 90 foot L-shaped dock with a 10'x15' platform on its end. It is located in a very quiet area, yet only 2 1/2 miles from the center of town. Cable service and high-speed Internet are included

We really enjoyed our stay at Martha's Vineyard, because this island is so beautiful but also because of this house, so charming and so nicely located. Believe us : the sunsets from the terrasse are just as amazing as they seem to be on the picture ! The house is perfectly located, in a very quiet area of the island, and gives you the feeling to be "at home". The owner was very nice with us, before our arrival but also during our stay.
Among the places that we loved on the island, the little village of Menemsha where you can eat lobster, freshly cooked by the fishermen, in front of the harbour.

We rented this house for a week in July, 2012. We traveled by boat from CT. The house has a large dock that we were able to keep our boat on. The house is on a bluff overlooking the lagoon with gorgeous views of the lagoon and the sailboats going by. There are 3 different area's to sit outside, one more peaceful and scenic than the other!! The master bedroom was a very nice size and had its own private deck overlooking the lagoon. The kitchen has every type of pot and pan and kitchen gadget you could possibly need. The house was extremely clean and gardens were beautiful. This house is centrally located between the two towns of Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven with restaurants and shopping not more than a 5 min. drive in either direction. One of the best features is that the house came with a minivan which was perfect for us arriving by boat. You can have a night out on the town and return to the private, peaceful location of the home. The owner was very honest and a pleasure to deal with. We cannot wait to return!!
