We are a family of 6 and we rented this house for spring break so we could go skiing, ice fishing, sledding etc. We had a wonderful week. The house had plenty of room so we could stretch out. The 3 bathrooms were very useful especially with 3 teen age daughters. We especially enjoyed grilling out on the deck while enjoying the amazing views! The radiant heat was very nice. I am used to tile floors being cold in the winter but not here. Annette was wonderful to work with (prompt replies and very efficient on the booking process). Thanks again for a great week.
Perfect place for 2 families attending a wedding.Plenty of bedrooms and due to the rain-plenty of bathrooms for my daughters wedding party to get ready for the ceremony. will be glad to return as the house and the scenery were off the charts!!!!
My husband and I stayed here for almost a month. We thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous sunrises from the deck with our morning coffee and watching the variety of wildlife that crossed the property. We have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years, and this one had everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. The house was clean and comfortable and all that the owner said it would be. I would definitely recommend it for families, and we appreciated the fact that we could bring our dog. Overall, we had a great stay!!
My wife and I enjoy doing our homeaway trips when we get the chance and we decided to give this place a shot despite the few bad reviews. It took us about 45 min once we left denver, we recommend rent a good car for the drive up the hill its a little bumpy especially for winter stays, but I assure you that it is well wortth the drive! Once we touched down on the drive way we saw a the beautifuly cozy cabin ahead of us. We arrived just in time to catch the sunset which we were in awe of off the back porch and couldn't stand to miss the rest of our trip. While walking through the house we were well satified by what it had to offer, we spent each cool night in the hot tub and with a view of the beutifully lite night sky. We highly recommend taking a hike through maxwell falls to take a gander at the running water fall less than a 10 min drive from the home. Along with the view the nature watching is pretty spectacular, we also saw the same foxes daily and a good amount of mule deer. As far as cleanliness we had no issues or complaints, beds were cozy and clean along with the big kitchen and bathrooms, I guess the worst stays have the loudest mouths. The owner was very accomodating, we ran into an issue with the internet and she had she very polite son run up to help us out and wish us a good stay as he left. We have stayed in about 10 different homeaway homes and we always like to review our stays and me and my wife must conclude this great stay for a young couple that likes to be active! We will for sure be coming back!!
We arrived in the afternoon and noted the front door was wide open. The ladies were a bit unerved and balked at going in. When we were settled, we noted that the toilets were dirty and there were hairs in sink. Kitchen appliances (coffeemaker and microwave) had not been cleaned out. Owner swore the beds were made, but we thought otherwise. Wet swimsuit lying out in one of the rooms. So, we liked the house, but my wife and I stay in rentals for our annual ski trips , and they're always clean! Tried to catch the breathtaking views out the window, but they were dirty.
This house worked out perfectly for my husband and me and our two married children. Each couple had their own room and bathroom. The house was outfitted well enough to prepare a complete turkey dinner. It is located a bit far from town, so you'll have to plan your trips accordingly. There must be a fox den near by because we saw two beautiful foxes every day, as well as lots of deer.
