Graceland Carriage house is a perfect place to stay for a city weekend without the hustle and bustle of a loud neighborhood. The house is spacious and well-appointed with high-end details and linens. Cynthia is a gracious host and very flexible. She even stocked the fridge with breakfast items and fresh flowers throughout the house. Very close to Lakeview and Andersonville for nights out on the town. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat when visiting Chicago.
What a wonderful discovery! My wife and I stayed here during Christmas week with our adult daughter, visiting two sides of the family. This was the perfect home base and getaway from too much festivities. The carriage house has a unique charm and is very comfortable. Cynthia was a generous host, but gave us total privacy too. The neighborhood is quiet but close to everything. Next visit to Chicago, this will be my first choice.
We recently returned from a stay @ Graceland Carriage and are so lucky to have found this spot! This place is in the most perfect neighborhood, tucked away from the noise but still steps away from Wrigley Field. The accomodations were wonderful, the coffee and tea, snacks and goodies were so nice. Flowers in our rooms. Great neighbors (wink wink, Cynthia!) We were traveling with small children and Cynthia pointed out the direction to a park nearby. We used it every day. We are definitely ditching the hotel next time and making this spot our go to! Thanks again Cynthia for sharing this gem, we LOVED our stay!
Thank you Cynthia for being such a wonderful host in allowing us to stay at your beautiful home for our Girls Weekend in the Windy City. Your Carriage House was the perfect setting for us to relax and enjoy our time in Chicago. We so appreciate the little added touches...such as the fruit, sparkling water, coffee and tea you provided along with the fresh flowers in each of the rooms. We were so lucky we could utilize the outdoor terrace for breakfast as well. We enjoyed the near-by restaurants and its the perfect distance for a runner to head towards Lake Michigan. The beds were super comfortable and we could not have asked for a more perfect location to downtown as well. We look forward to staying with you again! Merci, Gracias, Danke, Grazie...THANK YOU from the Twin Cities Gals!
AWESOME! Accommodations were unique and delightful. Linens were good. Beds were comfortable. Owners are great resources on area information. Refrigerator stocked with all we needed plus some! I would return in a heartbeat!
I had the pleasure of staying in Cynthia's beautiful carriage home while in Chicago for work. Cynthia has done an excellent job with the decor and the house includes all of the amenities you could possibly need. From the moment we arrived we felt totally welcome. I was working on the Navy Pier and it only took 15 min by cab or around 30 min by train. One feels like they are on an architectural tour while walking through the neighborhood. I definitely plan on returning the next time I'm in Chicago.
