Welcome to Costa Vista #2! Imagine being able to sun-tan, read a book, sip a cocktail or have a cup of tea with the reflective blue, green and white colors of the nearby ocean complementing the picture.

Perhaps you may prefer a leisurely walk to submerge yourself in the calm blue waters of the Caribbean Sea to swim or dive. Spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea from all rooms and all three levels of this fantastic Townhouse including a 180 degree view from the roof terrace! How about having a barbecue party on the roof terrace after a day of swimming and shopping!

Located within a short distance of the West Coast beach, supermarket, restaurants and duty free shopping; Costa Vista offers affordable holiday luxury on the Gold Coast of Barbados. This spacious townhouse is located within a new up market development of 7 townhomes, and affords comfortable living with all equipment and utilities included. An inclined driveway leads to the front of the unit and its patio entrance.

On the ground level there are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with tub/shower. Downstairs one will find the guest suite which includes a bedroom, bathroom, and a private lounge area with TV. The second floor and roof top deck is where all the excitement is with a large open concept kitchen flowing onto a spacious living area and covered patio. A sweeping staircase leads up onto the rooftop deck where one can experience views that are out of this world. The roof top is perfect for relaxing, tanning or having a barbecue.

Notes on accommodation

All living areas have air-conditioning with ceiling fans to dining room, lounge and main bedrooms. Unit location on a hill may not be suitable for wheelchair access or very young children.

No smoking and no pets allowed.

Accessibility

Although parking is at the door, it is not suitable for wheelchair users since Costa Vista #2 is on top of a hill. The pool and gazebo are on top of the hill and is accessible via stairs.

Outside

Roof terrace 550 sq ft with gas barbecue grill, table and chairs external electrical sockets and lighting. Patio furniture on level 2 terrace. Shared pool with gazebo. Waterfall and landscaped gardens. Car parking for two cars.

Coast/Beach

Fitts village beach is 500 yards away. Paynes beach is 5 mins by car with a variety of water sports including skiing, snorkeling and wind surfing.

Golf

Sandy Lane and Royal Westmorland less than 10 mins drive. Barbados Golf Club and Rockley Golf Club 30 minutes drive to the south coast.

Travel

Grantley Adams International airport is a 30 minute drive from Costa Vista. We can arrange transfers (price not included).

Distances

Fitts village is 500 yards away, while Hole Town is a 7 min drive. The capital Bridgetown is 10 mins by car. Oistins, St. Lawrence Gap and the south coast is 30 minutes drive.

Further details

Jordans supermarket is 500 yards away. Both the west and south coasts are plentifully supplied with excellent restaurants ranging from the up-market ‘The Cliff’ and ‘Restaurant at South sea for value for money waterside dining. Full information regarding restaurants is available in the villa. There are several local banks. All banks will change cash and travelers checks. No smoking and no pets allowed.

My name is Neil and my lovely wife is Sonya. We were both born in Guyana which is closely tied to the British Caribbean in culture and economic activities. Today we live in Vienna, Virginia but have not forgotten our Caribbean roots. Enjoying our friends in Barbados, golf and a bit of peace and quiet with a cold beer and a good book is truly a gift from GOD. Oh yeah ... How can I forget the fantastic Caribbean cuisine and ... did I mention the Rum!

Why Neil Jones chose Prospect

The Caribbean is by definition, filled with fantastic beaches and scenery. We choose to purchase a vacation home in Barbados primarily because of the beautiful people, the golf and the reliable infrastructure which allows us to relax and still get some work done if necessary via the internet.

What makes this townhome unique

Relaxing at night on the rooftop in the still of the night and staring up at the night sky is special. With at least a 90 degree view of the Caribbean sea from almost every room at three levels is simply special. A visit every now and then from the indigenous green monkeys makes the beer taste even better.

Great stay at a great rental!

Our week at Costa Vista was spectacular! You're within a 5-10 minute walk of a supermarket, restaurant, bus stop and the beach. Fitts Village is between Bridgetown and Holetown, the two main cities in Barbados, and you aren't far from either. You can either take the bus, or rent a car (which is what we did).

The listing is very accurate. The apartment was clean, and the pictures are current. It's just as nice as it looks, no mirages or outdated pictures here. The owner and property manager gave us great service and responded promptly to our questions.

A couple of our favourite aspects were:

You have a full kitchen: oven, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, microwave etc, which is great to cook some meals yourself. The living room had a TV. The listing says very basic cable I believe, but there was a good number of channels. The internet worked very well throughout the apartment.

There is a rooftop deck with a barbecue that I really enjoyed. You have a great view of the water, and we watched the sunset up there every evening. It's a nice place to lay in the sun throughout the day as well.

The only thing that I would caution potential renters about is that this is located on a steep hill. We didn't have a problem getting up and down, but it wouldn't be very friendly to elderly guests or wheelchairs. For the general population, it's fine.

I would not hesitate to recommend this rental to others, and I would definitely stay here again if I return to Barbados.

Costa Vista Fitts Village

Excellent location with supermarket, and restaurants in walking distance. Excellent beach steps away, great snorkelling and swimming. Views from the villa a great especially at sunset as you face west from upper deck. Car is recommended but not necessary since there is a bus stop at the end of the street. The owners are very attentive and if things are not working they get it fixed right away. We were two retired couples in our 60s and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Visit to Costa Vista Dec to Jan '13-'14

We just returned from Barbados after having an amazing stay at the Costa Vista villa from Christmas Day to New Years. It was warm, comfortable and very convenient to the grocery store and beach. We really enjoyed our stay at your villa. Neil went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable by arranging transport (2 vehicles) to transport us (family of 9) from the airport to his villa on Christmas day when no transport was available. When we arrived at the villa the fridge was stocked with all the essentials plus i.e. sword fish. We were able to feed our entire family on Christmas Day when most places were closed. He also arranged for 2 rental vehicles to meet us at the villa as our reservations were cancelled without any warnings. It made our stay the more enjoyable and because of his efforts in making our stay so comfortable and stress free, we want to return to Barbados and stay at his villa in the future.

We spent a lovely week at the Costa Vista #2. There were 2 couples and each had a master suite on a separate floor. The home is in a very convenient location and has all the amenities you need for a fantastic vacation. We highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a comfortable home away from home. Neil and Sonya, thanks for letting us rent your home. We hope to return to Barbados and rent from you in the future.

GREAT ESCAPE for anyone Looking for A HIDEOUT or ROMANCE or JUST CHILLING OUT

I spent 7 days with my Teenage and Young adult children and we had a BLAST. very suitable for 6 adults with lots of room to fit ever individual mood on any given day. just relaxing , Swim , take a stroll Listen to music or watch TV. The view was spectacular from the ROOFTOP. Location was perfect for transportation and food shopping. Perfect for travelers with out a car. The BEACH was just a stone throw down the hill and across the street. Early morning breeze was more than welcomed by all and the GREEN Monkeys were a thriller with their playful antics and presence with no fare of any one. Off all the Villa was well accommodating for us in all sense of the word VERY MUCH AT HOME. I know for the last three years of visiting the Island this was the BANG for the BUCKS compared to some of the more expensive Apartments on the Coast. I know I will be making future reservations and will be recommending COSTA VISTA 2 all my friends who ever plans to visit Barbados.

Lovely Views in Beautiful St.James

My family and I had a lovely time here. We were greeted by the property managers who were very nice and helpful. Beautiful mountainside views and lovely modern condo. Short bus trip to Holetown which is great for those shoppers. Local beaches were all beautiful. My advice is to rent a car as the hillside walk to the condo can be a bit much if you are not as fit as you used to be (especially with groceries)! Otherwise, my family would love to stay again!!
