2 Bedroom 1 Bath Apartment
This comfortable newly renovated first floor apartment is located in Inman Square, between Harvard and MIT. It’s a short walk to shops, live music, and some of the best restaurants in the Boston area. Harvard and Central Square subway are each a 14-minute walk away, and MIT is an 18-minute walk. Just two subway stops away from the heart of Boston.
Perfect for families as well as visiting academics; for larger groups, there is another three bedroom apartment upstairs in the same house: together, both apartments can accommodate up to twelve guests, children welcome.
There is a full eat-in kitchen, two bedrooms (queen bed in one, full bed in the other) and a full sleep sofa in the living room that can together accommodate up to six guests. The bathroom has a tub/shower and updated tile. Gleaming hardwood floors throughout and lovely neutral modern décor; a collection of framed color and black and white photographs decorate the walls. The atmosphere is airy, clean and welcoming. All linens and kitchen items provided. Rents monthly in the winter.
We both love Cambridge for its walkability, restaurants, bookstores, coffee shops and nightlife. Michelle works for the State of Massachusetts in policy analysis and I am a self-employed Cabinetmaker. When not working we both enjoy creative pursuits, reading and eating good food.
Jim Creighton purchased this condo in 2006
+Big enough for 2 couples to share
+Booking via Bed and Breakfast Associates Bay Colony went quick and smooth; the contact people there, were super friendly and helpful and very motivated (great job)
-Issues with the parking space: no clarity about how to access the garage (confusion about access hours); garage key was not available) - however problem was solved quickly with a few phone calls (this apartment was rented out for the first time so the owner forgot to mention the garage key to Bed and Breakfast Associates Bay Colony)
Good price for quality! Without the parking issue, I would have rated the place with 5 stars. If you arrive with your car, book a parking space as street parking in Cambridge is horrible.
My Girlfriend and I (both in our early 30s) were very satisfied with this condo. It is very cute and cozy and beats a hotel by far! It is literally 2 blocks from great restaurants/bars etc
Jim was very accommodating and allowed an early check-in since my flight arrived so early.
My mom and her friends came to visit me in the first week of October. They love to cook and they were happy to find the place has a kitchen. All transactions went smoothly and quickly(payment, confirmation and refund of security deposit). Jim was very helpful and accommodating especially since this was our first vacation rental experience. The ladies were very satisfied. We definitely would love to come back and rent this place again in the future. Wishing you all the best in business and life.
We have spent a great time there. We Also use barbecue many times.. Thanks jim for your apt.
My extended family stayed here for a week. It was very quiet and relaxing. Only the necessities are provided, but it's certainly a nice, modest stay.
Since my wife and I are architects, we tend to choose our vacation rentals on the basis of quality design and architectural interest and we found this property to be consistent with the photos. The interiors were clean, comfortable, well-decorated and full of great photography by the owners. The owners were very helpful and oriented us to the local stores and restaurants during our stay. The area is great for walking around and biking - both Harvard and MIT are within walking distance, as well as public transportation to get around the Boston. We were traveling with children who were 10, 7 & 2 and found this location to be very kid-friendly with a small back yard for incidental play. We also used this location as a base for exploring the surrounding historic sites and found it to be convenient to all. The kitchen could have been equipped with more of the basics for cooking and a couple of additional light fixtures in the kitchen would be convenient, but the facilities were adequate. Overall, we would recommend this place to anyone looking for a family-friendly base for exploring Boston.
Cambridge is a vibrant community of universities, shops and restaurants. It boarders Boston and convenient to tourist attractions.
