'FLOATING HOME' FEATURED ON ~HGTV'S~ LIVING CHANNEL 80 HOMES

Portland House Boat Rental Photos and Description

House Boat, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6-10)

FEATURED ON HGTV's LIVING CHANNEL AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 HOMES - Have you ever wondered what it would feel like living aboard a floating home? Imagine waking to the gentle cradle of a river's current and feeling blessed enough to be able to experience the tranquility of life on the river. Serenity awaits you at our home.

Whether you are a business traveler seeking rejuvenating solitude, a romantic couple looking to rediscover one another, an artist waiting to be inspired again, an adventurer looking to explore God’s country, or a family in need of precious time together, just to share with one another, this is a home-away-from home guaranteed to sooth your soul.

Can you imagine, vision yourself basking in the stillness of the morning sun, stretched out on a cushy lounge chair, drinking a steaming cup of freshly brewed, Northwest coffee from our panoramic floating deck? Breath in the beauty of nature as the sun rises before you reflecting off the tranquil water. Witness the morning routine of our resident otters and beaver as you soak in our second story 'Lookout Tower' spa.

In the evening feel free to defy the darkness by lighting a bon-fire in the custom fire pit, while your line drifts with the river’s current anticipating a tug on your line from a nocturnal channel catfish swimming deep below. Gazing at your pole, your mind congers up visions of pan-fried channel catfish over roasted potatoes, mmm, dinner awaits you.

You will experience nature as never before, without ever leaving our home. The Pacific Northwest is known as Salmon Nation, from the house you can witness these majestic fish throughout the seasons as they breakwater searching to find their way upstream to spawn, fulfilling their life’s destiny. You will hear the Osprey cry out as they call to one another, circling high above, surveying the river for their prey. The Great Blue Herron, Bald Eagle, a variety of Geese, and exotic Ducks are no strangers to our back yard. Come experience river life for yourself.

This is much more than a vacation, it is an opportunity allowing you to take in the beauty of nature. If you had previously considered taking your family on vacation elsewhere, reconsider. You can forget about the theme parks in the big cities with their unavoidable crowds; this is one vacation that you will never forget. Bring your family to the end of The Oregon trail where the real adventure begins.

Oregon, The Original Adventure Land.

P.S. The house is nice too.

FLOATING OUR CARES AWAY

  • 4 of 5
My husband and I, on a whim, found the bungalow last minute in September 2012. We enjoyed our stay so much that we brought friends back in September 2013. The home is spacious, well appointed and comfortable for a two night stay. We had a chance to experience both a sunny beautiful weekend, and a torrential wind and rain weekend, both were spectacular to enjoy from the house on the river. It's true, the home is a bit of a trek to restaurants and grocery stores, so especially if the weather is bad plan ahead and bring your supplies. We look forward to making this an annual retreat.

BUNGALOW FLOATING HOME

  • 4 of 5
We rented the bungalow with another couple and had a very relaxing getting away. The home was comfortable and had everything we needed. We love beinging on the water when we take our vacations. We did the Willamette Jet boat trip on the day it was a bit overcast and the remainder of the days we were on our boat fishing and enjoying the beautiful homes on the Willamette between Oregon City and Newberg. We will be back. Thank you for sharing.

WILL BE BACK AGAIN!

  • 5 of 5
This is not the first time I have stayed on the floating houseboats (nor the last). I've stayed in all of them and enjoy each one for something a little different - although I love the large luxury house and the little "minnow" the best. Beautiful, serene view from each one. Owners provide a canoe to take out on the water. Fire pit in the big house. Birds galore, otters, too. Tastefully decorated in each one. Kitchens are stocked with items you might need for a party or holiday dinner (we celebrated Thanksgiving). Across the road there are hills to walk/run and a nature reserve up on the bluff (with trails) or stay on the riverside and there's a pedestrian bridge to walk to the downtown area. Short drive to grocery store and other shopping. Portland about 25 minutes away. Had trouble getting a dryer to start (my error) and the owners called back within a half an hour (which I thought was fast since it's not a hotel). Great service.

THE BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD

  • 5 of 5
This is a fantastic getaway that makes you feel as if you're miles from anyplace, and yet in fact you're within minutes of a metropolitan area. It's a great combination, and if you decide not to go into Portland, Oregon City has everything you can possibly need, and it's within walking distance. My family loved this float house (we've stayed several times) and the owners could not have been more accommodating. The entire experience was wonderful, from the river to the falls, to the way the house was appointed. We were all extremely pleased and will go back whenever we get the chance.

GREAT FAMILY VACATION SPOT

  • 5 of 5
We spent a wonderful week on your floating home last year with family and friends. The kitchen was well equipped and there was something for everyone to do. Some fishing, hot tubbing, chatting around the fire pit at night, and lots of water sport activities were included in our time there. We hope to go back again next year and make this an annual event. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

RAD - WAKEBOARDER'S DREAM WEEK

RAD - wakeboarder's dream week
  • 5 of 5
I love this place! My family has been three times and we are already booking our next adventures here. As a water sports enthusiast and competitive wakeboarder I love being able to get out on the water and ride and then come back to the house and warm up in the hot tub. It is the perfect vacation spot to enable me to go to work in Portland and enjoy calm water to practice on and sunset dinners in the evening. The house is very well maintained and feels like home.
