This affordable vacation cabin rental is the ideal place for a nice relaxing, peaceful getaway. Mountain Magic is both cozy and comfortable, with modern style, and decor.
Mountain Magic has lots to offer. From a lazy hammock in the yard, to a cozy fire in the fireplace. Take a moment to get in the hot tub and look at the stars.. A cup of tea in the sun room will hit the spot. Take a walk around the property and enjoy the artistic old painted barn, which houses a few farm animals. For quiet time, the loft is spacious and quaint, it has a swinging chair, a dresser and a rocking chair. The kitchen has all you need for a home cooked meal, it is open to the great room, build a fire in the fireplace and watch a movie all at the same time. After the evening is up, the bathroom has a charming Jacuzzi tub, which is sure to hit the spot. The downstairs bedroom has a flat screen TV and a queen size bed. You might want to sit on the covered porch and enjoy the sounds of nature, while drinking that morning coffee. Also the deck, just off the sunroom would be a great place for grilling, lounging and enjoying the view of the natural waterfall.

Unique, quaint and relaxing to name a few. The animals are a real treat for all the guest and very entertaining to say the least...All things enjoyable wrapped up in this property named, so fittingly we've been told, Mountain Magic......
This property also can give your horse a room and board if you desire to bring it. The animals are such a joy to the guest. You really just have to see them, it has been said this place is better than a petting zoo...
We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Loved the goats!! We've stayed in many similar cabins around the Blue Ridge, but none as clean, tastefully decorated, or in as nice of a setting as yours. AND never been treated so graciously.
We will recommend it to our friends. Thank you and God bless.
Love this property. We spent a week here, and will definitely be back. Everything was perfect from the location, to the cabin, and the animals. Can't say enough wonderful things about this place. Connie was awesome to work with from beginning to end. Thanks for everything!!
We absolutely loved Mountain Magic! We have two small children and this place was perfect. We immediately fell in love with the animals as soon as we pulled into the driveway. My kids showered them with attention all weekend. I mean where else can you rent a house with a barn full of sweet, sweet animals? We really loved everything about this house but our favorites (besides the animals) included the beautiful property, hot tub, sunroom, and porch! We ventured off to Grandfather Mountain, Linnville falls, and Linnville caverns. All a short and very scenic drive away. We also took the kids to Tweetsie Railroad and then spent the afternoon in Blowing Rock, ending with dinner at a local restaurant in Boone. All very close and lots of fun. At the end if each adventure we all were excited to return to our mountain house, Mountain Magic. It was hard to contain the kids each time we pulled into the driveway because they were bursting with excitement to play with the animals. The animals greet you each time they see a car pull up as well, so cute! My husband and I relaxed in the sunroom while the kids played. We had a wonderful time and will defiantly be back next fall.
Words, photos, and paintings are not really sufficient to describe the "soul" of this very romantic hideaway. One MUST EXPERIENCE the "magic" for oneself. Mountain Magic is an idyllic authentic retreat in the NC mountains. The charm and elegance of the cabin are unforgettable. There is such tender attention to detail. I felt I was visiting a beloved grand-mother or relative. The views around the cabin are breathtaking. It is a cabin for all seasons and reasons! It is perfect serenity and joy. I especially enjoyed the adorable goats, donkeys, "Brewster" and his harem of chickens. They all.. goats, donkeys, and chickens came running to greet me every time I ventured out and made me feel welcome! There is much to see and do in the vicinity, but I was so content and comfortable...I just wanted to relax and be inspired and rejuvenated in the peaceful ambiance. The kindness, generosity, and hospitality of Connie, Shelley, and Sara, the manager and owners will not be forgotten or surpassed. Un grand merci et bisous à vous tous! Merci de ces beaux souvenirs inoubliables!!! Vive l'amour à la Montagne Magique! Je reviendrai souvent!
If your reading this review to help you decide if you should stay here, go ahead and book it. You'll be pleasantly surprised. It was a great place in a nice location.
There are even more amenities than shown here: There's a TV in the loft. The yard is mostly fenced in and level making it great for kids and dogs. There are 2 hammocks and interesting taxidermy. The grill is gas.
If you are an outdoors lover that yard is awesome. There are many different places to sit and watch nature, the animals, the waterfall and the beautiful flowers and landscaping. If you are an animal lover you will love this place. I loved the sun room because it felt like being outdoors and the animals were very entertaining.
The cabin is very beautiful inside and out, an ideal dream cabin to me. The jetted tub and hot tub are heavenly.
A few tips: Don't overlook the color changing lights switch on the hot tub, so cool. Bring a powerful vehicle; the driveway is steep. If the occupants of the loft are very hot natured you might want to bring a fan (heat rises). Don't worry the AC works just fine. The water lines are backward: the right is hot and the left is cold. Remember this also for the washing machine. If you feed the animals remember goats can't open there mouths wide so cut everything up small. Don't worry Connie takes care of the animals I think daily (but we missed her every time). There are a lot of stairs (loft and basement). So remember that if you have trouble with stairs.
We had a lovely stay and I can't wait to go back again. We've never stayed in the same cabin twice, so that says a lot. From the journal that they keep at the cabin there are a LOT of repeat visitors. There's a reason it's booked often so plan well in advance.
If you love visiting the mountains in winter this is in a great skiing location and that hot tub and sun room would be so nice in the winter. It's perfect for a romantic getaway or for a family with children or a pets. There were plenty of rooms so we were never in each others way. I loved the sun room and outside. My husband loved the living room and TV. My teenage son loved the loft and wi-fi. It has something for everyone. I never got them to play ping pong with me but that's a pretty big basement to hang out in too. I think it would be a lovely place for a honeymoon.
This cabin is cozy, warm, delightful, and lives up to its name, astonishingly! That almost never happens. My daughter and I spent 3 days here at the edge of heaven for a special celebration. We couldn't have picked a better cabin. It is so well-appointed both inside and out. The man-made waterfall creates an atmosphere that is healing and listening to the movement of water was wonderfully restful. What is it about water??? The sunroom is absolutely the best place in the cabin because it offers a view of the mountains, the constant waterfall, and those wonderful animals. Honestly, they were the best! I especially loved the 2 llamas since I used to have one. The donkeys, Annabelle and Sweetie Pie, vied for #1, though, because they were so adorable and friendly. All the goats were so funny and cute, too. I named the rooster, Brewster, and he was a hoot. I have not been a chicken lover, except from the frying pan, but Brewster the Rooster was so darn funny and watching him tip-toe up the steps of the deck just made me howl. He, of course, must have a long history of people feeding him because he wasn't a bit shy or frightened. He waited right outside the sliding glass door and we finally found a snack for him. He gobbled it up, then waited for more. When that was not forthcoming as quickly as he wanted, he crowed, rooster speak for "more, please" ! What a beautiful, funny rooster he is. My daughter took many close-up photos of him by opening the glass door just wide enough to accept her camera and Brewster just stood there doing his chicken thing with his head. Hilarious!!!
All in all, this cabin had everything we could have wanted. There wasn't one thing that disappointed us. Oh, and the beds were soooo comfortable. This really was a Mountain Magic Cabin, and Connie, the manager, is one big reason it is magical. She cares about the cabin, the animals and the renters too, and it shows. Caring and sharing really is magic!
We came to Magic Mountain for our Anniversary!! We were in heaven the Minute we arrived! Thank you Connie for all your kindness & all your help.
Words can't explain how amazing our whole experience was, but I'll try. When we arrived to the Log cabin snow covered the ground like a postcard, so beautiful! This log cabin is so unique & the owners truely paid attention to all the little details that make it quaint, unique & funtionable!!Once we arrived we noticed the beautiful wood work all around. There are two patios; 1 on the front porch with adorable wood rocking chairs, table & chairs with a grill. Directly off porch is the soothing Jaccuzi, perfect to relax in or soak in after sking & Another patio off the sun room. Also, they have tree branch railing all through out the cabin, so Charming. We walked in to the large cozy living room & were transcended in to Mountain Magic, Great Romantic Getaway!
The livingroom is so cozy, all covered with wood floors, vaulted ceilings, large wroght iron chandler, & Large stone fireplace to snuggle by.There are 2 nice cozy bedrooms. We loved the loft the best, king size comfy bed, swing & windows to listen & feel the Winter breeze! The kitchen is the perfect size to cook a yummy meal, everyday, with all updated appliances & sink. Off the kitchen is a glassed in Sunroom with comfy chairs, a wood burning stove, & a table for enjoying your meals or playing games. While in the sun room you can look out to the large acres of private woods & the barn. We loved waking up enjoying our coffee in the sun room & being greeted by animals daily. The barn was an unexpected pleasure!! The Animals; 2 lamas, Lots of Goats & 2 baby goats, 2 donkeys, a chicken & rooster are So adorable , fun to watch & listen to. We enjoyed walking with the animals, feeding them and brushing the ones that would let us. Seriously, the barn is so cool & fun. Also, I enjoyed laying on the Hammock in the yard for hours relaxing & reading my book. I love laying there & listening to Nature. This cabin is nicely secluded for relaxing & privacy. There are little towns around to go antiquing & several places to snow ski or snowboard. We are on our way home from our incredible trip & We wanna come back to Mountian Magic tomorrow!! Thank you & We will be back;))
