Welcome to the best of beach living. Close to beach, shops and restaurants. Our home is 4,000 square feet (370 sq. m) and was built in 2000 by a prestigious local architect, the house has an open and airy floor plan. Four spacious bedrooms with large closets and private baths are upstairs while downstairs features a living room, dining room, bathroom and open kitchen/great room. The kitchen features a large island with a bar that is great for entertaining. The kitchen is equipped with top-of-the-line appliances; Viking range, Thermador double ovens, microwave, two sinks for kitchen prep, double huge GE Monogram refrigerator, KitchenAid dishwasher, walk-in pantry and butler's pantry for entertaining.
Most homes near the beach have little, or no back yards. Our plot is extra wide which allowed us to include a large back yard that is ideal for entertaining as you will see in the photos. Double French doors from the great room open out to the back yard combining into a large, inviting entertaining area for socializing, swimming in the Jacuzzi or eating and BBQ'ing.
Downstairs there is a four car garage with bicycles, boogie boards, a wagon, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. We will leave all our toys at your disposal and room for your cars. There is also plenty of street parking.
It is a short walk (5 minutes) to the beach and when you return you can rinse off in the outdoor shower. We take our bikes or scooters at least once a week to one of the many local restaurants which is about a 10 minute walk - perfect for kids or adults. There is a chip trail across the street for running or walking as well as a park at the local school 1 block away with a soccer field and playground. Tennis and other parks are nearby as well.

We are a professional couple with two daughters under ten. We own a business in the area and have lived in the area for about twenty years. Our kids walk to school around the corner and we spend our spare time at the beach and taking advantage of all this area has to offer. We love walking to local restaurants, or riding our bikes on the strand (the sidewalk along the beach). We truly love Manhattan Beach and you will too.
This is our primary home and we would not consider living anywhere else in Southern California. This is the best beach in the area and Manhattan Beach has a small town feeling even though it's not far from Los Angeles itself. The climate is ideal year round, but especially wonderful in the summer. While we enjoy traveling we certainly plan on living here for many years.
The home is large and very comfortable. Our children love the open space and especially the back yard. Of course they love the beach even more, which is about a five minute walk. We live on a wide street with plenty of parking and wonderful neighbors. There is a sidewalk out front that the kids love to ride bikes, skateboard and scooter up and down. We have a large play area in the back with a side shower, jacuzzi, hardscape and grassy area. Backyard you can relax in the outdoor living room or BBQ and eat dinner at the outside dining table.
Just steps to Manhattan Beach, the best beach in LA county, wide and clean and never crowded. Great for surfing, boogie board + paddle boarding.
