Privacy, security & sunset views are all yours for your vacation on the Big Island of Hawaii. The unit has a fully equipped view oriented kitchen, living room, and a lanai with sliding glass doors that open to the ocean - where Whales, Dolphins, Green Turtles and a myriad of colorful fish can be seen most days. The bath has a spa-tub & shower. Floor-to-ceiling mirrors invite the outside in, creating a spectacular indoor environment.
The kitchen has been completely re - done with new and modern cabinets.Featuring a large refrigerator/freezer,the oven is a convection/microwave,the stove has 2 burners and a new dishwasher.
Common areas of Kona Magic Sands Condos are well maintained and clean;pool; BBQ (propane) , grounds, individual parking space, Laundry room has 2 washers and 2 dryers. Machines take quarters, 4 quaters per load.
Keauhou Shopping Center is 3 miles south on Alli Drive. There is a Kita Grocery Store, Pizza Parlor, Longs Drugstore etc.
Kona Magic Sands 314 is more like a Penthouse. It is truly Magic

We are true Islanders from growing up in Victoria B.C.on Vancouver Island . We love the ocean, we have a water front home in Nanaimo and a condo on the beach .We are from west coast marine climate, we love the fact that Kona only gets 8 to 10 inches of rain annually. If we get home sick we can always go to the hills behind Hilo.We also like the average temperatures 81 to 87 unlike the desert extremes 67 January to 107 July. The unit 314 has been tastefully updated with antique furniture. It's 3 miles South of the main Kona strip which I regard as a good thing. But it is still on Alii Drive for nice morning or evening peaceful walks. Yet you are only minutes away from town.It has a great location right next to the ocean. You couldn't be closer without being in it. The view on this total glass corner unit really makes it and allows for fabulous sunset views. This unit has a large WOW factor.
The size of the condo. Most of the condos at Kona Magic Sands are 400 sq ft ours is 660 sq ft. The Lani's is enclosed, so you can sit at your table with the glass doors open and see and hear the waves. You also wake up in the morning and sit up in bed and see the ocean. It's amazing.Dophins and Whales are often seen right out in the ocean from your unit.
It's right on Magic Sands Beach, which is a great beach. There aren't a ton of swimming beaches right in Kona and this one is one of the best. Some of the best boogie boarding and snorkeling on the Island. 314 is on the 3rd floor with extra great views and no street noise. It is air conditioned ,has a spa tub and numbered parking. The property was everything as advertised. It was great views and sea life to see. Saw a lot more whales then we expected. The location was good too. Condo was well stocked and very comfortable. The only issues we had were the lack of window covering on north window allowing lots of headlights to shine in. Also we loved hearing the waves at night but someone kept smoking below us and the smoke came into the room. I think it was a permanent resident since they new were to stay out of sight on their lanai. All in al,l a great place for the money.
Enjoyed our stay. Condo has been nicely redone. I do say thank goodness for the sound of the waves crashing and breaking because you would here lots of traffic noise if not for that. So mother nature takes care of that problem and a very pleasant stay. 5 stars.
The views were unbelievable. It has glass windows that overlook the ocean. Sat and watch whales and dolphins swim while drinking coffee and mimosas' in the morning. Listen to the waves at night. Relatively close to downtown. About a 5 minute car ride or trolley ride ($2 each way). About 10 minutes to Safeway and Walmart. Was one of the larger units in the complex. Clean and had everything that we needed for our week stay. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that we had some problems with hot water heater for the first 4 days. Fortunately the owner did get if fixed and also he had another unit that was not being used. Also had problems with the BBQ one night.
Great location in Kona, amazing views from the place, whales, spinner Dolphins, Tropical fish and ohhh those sunsets. Close proximity to beaches and snorkeling. The condo was very clean and well cared for. Be prepared for the constant noise of waves crashing against the sea wall....takes a little getting used to.
Upon our arrival the key was missing from the lockbox and near the end of our stay the hot water heater quit working. These matters were dealt with quickly by the property manner.
This place was just what it said it would be. Great views , whales , fish , turtles cruising by. The place was clean and ready to enjoy. Very good location for the west side of island and town. Road was real close but with the sounds of the ocean , you never heard it. The unit could use a little more window covering on park view/road side. Beware for older people, there is no elevator but it is only 3 stories so getting your bags up would be manageable. Our biggest complaints are this-----Someone kept smoking on there lanai below us (not sure which unit but I suspect it was a permanent owner since they new where to stay out of sight and it would come right into unit 314 since you had the sliding doors open almost constantly. It is illegal to do so but they did not care about the $300 fine. Also beware if you go to the pool, they only had 5 lounge chairs for all 35 plus units. All in all we would stay again.
The views of this condo were magical indeed! Listening to the waves crashing, feeling the continuous winds blow, smelling the fresh sea air, watching the beautiful sunsets and sea life from your room and being right next door to white sands beach is what sets this condo apart from the rest. Add a real comfortable bed, clean and spacious surroundings, nice bathroom and shower, private parking plus all the amenities (plush towels, washer, dryer, fridge, dishwashers, cooler, boogie boards, etc)., close proximity to restaurants, shops and grocery store truly made this a perfect and magical place to stay.
