AWESOME!! THE OWNERS ARE INCREDIBLE!!

  • 5 of 5
Our stay was an awesome experience! Thanks to the owners for making it truly a home away from home!! We were able to celebrate Dad's 84th birthday in style! It was awesome having family all under 1 roof! It is well maintained and excellent customer service! While visiting we saw many sunsets; grilled out and had campfires; saw a ball game at Comstock Park; visited Saugutuck, Holland State Park and Dunes; rode bikes from Hart - Montigue, Muskegon - Grand Rapids on the Musketawa Trail, and around Spring Lake; toured Silverside; and rode the Trolley! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!!

SIMPLY AWESOME

  • 5 of 5
We were 6 adults and a kid staying at this beautiful cottage for 3 nights over the memorial day weekend.
The cottage is beautiful and has everything one needs. The rooms are well furnished with a TV in the bedrooms, Dish network, lots of linen, towels, etc..
The ladies in our group were amazed how well stocked the Kitchen was with all the glassware and silverware. We were not short of anything.
The location is absolutely perfect. Hardly 5 mins from the Submarine museum. We even got to attend the memorial service and get a tour of the submarine.
Beaches are also hardly 5 mins walk. Beach is very clean. There is a light house too and sunset looks beautiful from there.
The park across the house is also nice. It was busy over the long weekend but hardly bothered us. No noise inside the house.
The gas grill was also nice (so no hassles of coal).
We did not get a chance to meet the owners personally but they were very sweet over the phone and in our emails.
In short we would surely love to visit this place again and recommend to our friends as well.

Owner's Response: We have a large TV in the living room on cable, together with a VCR and DVD player and a large collection of VCR tapes and DVDs. The bedroom with the (2) twin beds also has a separate, smaller TV (also on cable) with a VCR and a bunch of kid's video tapes; renters with younger children have said that their kids really liked this arrangement (this is the only bedroom with a TV).

WONDERFUL FAMILY HOME

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at this home for a week in August of 2010. It was perfect for our family: mom, dad, 2 girls (7 and 9) and a boy (2). Mom and dad had their own room with a very comfortable bed and nice sized closet. Girls had a room with 2 twin beds and a small tv with vcr/cable. Son had his own room with enough space for his pack and play bed to be set up. Was nice to have the 2 tvs with cable as the girls could watch what they wanted and so could we in the living room. Was great to have a garage. Small bathroom and laundry right off the garage was perfect for clean up after the beach. We were at the beach (a very short walk away) 2 times a day and there was only one day where the water was too cold to swim. The beach is very clean and large and lovely! Sunsets were great. Loved being able to make our own meals in the very well equiped kitchen. Our days included trips to the local state parks, swimming, trip to Grand Rapids, trip to Holland, visit to the amusement park. Plenty to do, or just stay around and relax. We hope to go back. It was a very enjoyable vacation and so nice to have a "home base" that truly felt like home.

Our family of four were very comfortable in this well-furnished home. The owners' pride in the residence is apparent in every detail.

EXCELLENT RENTAL!!!!

  • 5 of 5
We loved the rental. It was very clean and comfortable. The owners went above and beyond stocking the house with everything you could need. Muskegon was where my husband and I grew up, so we love the town and felt right at home. You are within walking distance to the channel and the beach (Lake Michigan or Muskegon Lake). The park is right across the street. That was a hit with the grandkids, as we could see them from the front porch or the livingroom. You can flag down the trolley right in front of the house and tour downtown. Also, it was handicap accessible. We have been in a few other rentals in the area, and this was 5 stars! Hoping to visit again next year.

THANK YOU FOR A GREAT PLACE TO VACATION!

  • 5 of 5
Thank you for a great place to vacation! Our boys couldn’t get enough of the nice park and play equipment right across the street, very convenient for the times that we were away from the beach. The house was very cute, roomy, clean and generously stocked with everything we needed, even down to the beach towels, picnic supplies along with a good selection of games, puzzles & movies for evenings and down times at the house.

We usually drove a half block to the beach, even though you could easily walk there. The beach was very nice, clean and not too crowded. If you have kids, you can rent these huge blown-up water animals for the kids to play on from a rental place on the beach. We also enjoyed walking along the channel and exploring the submarine & the Naval Museum. We also took a day trip to Grand Rapids, which was less than 1 hour away. In Grand Rapids we visited the Children’s museum and Fredrick Meijer Gardens, both places were wonderful!

We bought most of food when we arrived and cooked it at the house, so I don’t have any comments about restaurants, other than the yummy Papa John’s pizza that we had delivered. We did our grocery shopping at Meijer, which is a nice big store only about 10 minutes from the house.

The owners were easy to reach when we had any questions, very hospitable and pleasant to work with. Overall we had a great trip and would defiantly recommend this wonderful property to others.
