PICTURESQUE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA, CALIFORNIA HOME 2,000 SQFT

We decided to come to California for 2 months to be close to our children and young grandchildren and Claudine's home was perfect for us in almost every way. The huge living room with its large dining area, comfortable entertainment center, fireplace, and French doors to the lovely little deck, was wonderful. Besides that, the beautiful furnishings and decorations, and the fully equipped, modern kitchen - everything of the highest quality - Claudine herself was solicitous for our comfort and very responsive to any requests or needs we might have. Our stay included Christmas and Claudine's home was a delightful venue for us to host the family for Christmas Eve. (Our little grandchildren had a great time when they came there though in general I'd recommend it more for families with older children.) We loved the proximity to the Skyline parks and lovely walks, the lively little village of Montclair, the easy access to the highways and San Francisco and, of course, the astounding views! It was a joy to watch the sun come over the hills in the morning and the twinkling of city lights below at night. If there were one thing slightly less than perfect, it was the lack of sound-proofing between our part of the house and the downstairs apartment. When that was occupied, we could hear the sound of their voices and they undoubtedly could hear ours. But aside from that it was a lovely experience and we very much hope to return.
