House, 5 Bedrooms + Den, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 11-12)

The Family Lodge is a spacious 4000 sq.ft. located on 4 private, wooded acres 5 minutes from Bass Lake. A winding paved driveway leads you to the property that backs into the Sierra National Forest, providing miles of hiking just outside your front door. The main level has three bedrooms, a big great room with two oversized, luxury leather sofas, a wonderful big kitchen and separate dining room. There are two bedrooms located upstairs along with a den for watching movies. Enjoy grilling and watching the deer & wild turkeys graze on the huge deck overlooking the woods.

DETAILS: The kitchen has a huge granite island, double oven, and breakfast area. It's fully stocked with everything you need to make a gourmet meal and more. The huge deck is located next to the kitchen for convenient grilling. The bedrooms are furnished with luxury beds, fine hotel linens, and down pillows. The Family Lodge is kid-friendly and can accommodate 2-3 families.

There are 2 seasonal creeks on the property and an outdoor fire pit, great for roasting marshmallows. There is a great playset next to the deck that your kids will love.

This is a great place for a family gathering, vacation, or a romantic escape. Lots of hiking, skiing/boat rental at Bass Lake, biking, family board games, kids playset and more. We also provide folding/camping chairs and a small cooler for use at the lake or in Yosemite. There is so much to experience here! And, yes, there's WiFi too.

You will be greeted with many comforts in the woods. Located 4 hours from Los Angeles, 3.5 hours from San Francisco, 30 min. to Yosemite entrance, 40 min. from Fresno, 5 min. (4 miles) to Bass Lake.

About Dena

This is an image of our kids in Yosemite last summer, 2011...one of the many reasons why we chose our house. There is so much to do. My husband and I purchased this home in 2009 after vacationing in the Yosemite/Bass Lake area for a couple of years. We fell in love with the Sierra National Forest and so did our kids. We reside in Los Angeles and love to escape to the Family Lodge and enjoy nature. We come as often as we can and our kids never want to leave. The property is so relaxing and inspiring. My husband and I get great inspiration while we are here, an awesome retreat. We know you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Why Dena chose Bass Lake

We love this area, the big ponderosa pine trees, the lake, Yosemite and the peacefulness. We can be at Bass Lake in 5 minutes and Yosemite in 30 minutes. We often spend the day at the lake or Yosemite and come home to our hideaway in the woods. We love to get out of the city and enjoy nature...... watch the deer and the turkeys.....and the smell of the pine trees. There is also lots of land for our kids to run around on and they love it!

What makes this house unique

You'll enjoy lots of privacy, a gourmet kitchen (furnished with dishes and cookware by Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn), and luxury comfort with all new beds and luxury hotel linens. There are 4 acres of open, wooded land to run around on, plus the endless National Forest just outside our front door. There are many activities at the Family Lodge and very close by. Play a good old family game of badminton in the yard or take a short hike up the mountain behind the house and take in the breathtaking views. Bass Lake and Yosemite are so close and so beautiful, it's also great during the quiet off-season months! The Family Lodge is rustic, modern & very comfortable!

Lovely retreat

This was our second time to stay at the family lodge. We stayed here in the summer of 2011 and again in 2012. It's a great place and location for our family gathering. The deck is great for relaxing as it is so peaceful and quiet. Ours kids ran around and played on the playset. The house is very spacious and comfortable with beautiful furnishings. The kitchen is very well stocked and has a big island. We went to Bass Lake and Yosemite. The owners were so helpful and told us about the swinging bridge in Yosemite which our kids loved. This is one of our favorite houses we have rented.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway
