QUEBEC CITY, PLACE ROYAL - 4-STARS - BIRTHPLACE OF NEW FRANCE

Quebec City Condo Rental Photos and Description

2 Queen Bedrooms and sofa bed, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)

The Office of Tourism recently reviewed and placed a 4-star rating on this holiday rental. This is the highest rating for any Residential Tourism Classification in the city. The city of Quebec has recently accredited this building for tourism rentals. When inquiring about any property your first question of any property owner should be, 'Are you accredited by the City of Quebec?' The city of Quebec has recently made changes to rental laws and are looking to close illegal rentals by old city property owners. Buyer beware! Rest assured with the Royal Dalhousie

This condo is located in the heart of Place Royal. It is from this location that Champlain constructed the first habitation, a farm and a shed. The location was named after Louis XIV and is one of the last remaining witnesses of 17th & 18th century buildings in North America. It is a beautiful 2400 square foot condo on one level. High ceilings, hardwood floors and exposed ceiling beams accent this historically renovated con

Where it all BEGAN!: It is from this location that the beginnings of New France began to develop some 400 years ago. Restaurants, Antique Shops, Art Galleries, and museums are located minutes from this location. Step outside and within minutes you will realize why Quebec has been designated a U.N.E.S.C.O. World Heritage Site.

Did you know?: In 2002 Hollywood went looking for a site location for the Europe scenes for the Tom Hanks, Leonardo DiCaprio movie, 'Catch Me If You Can'. If you have seen the movie or if you plan to rent it look for Quebec City as you see Hanks chasing after DiCaprio in France. The turning point when Hanks captures DiCaprio is suppose to be in Paris, France, but is actually shot about one minute away from the condo.

At the Royal Dalhousie we invite you to step into a luxury condo to begin your vacation memories then ....step out into 400 years of history.

Very spacious and impressive loft apartment

We were with our daughter, son-in-law and granchild. Overall the apartment was spacious and quite impressionable. However, I will add that the air conditioning was not working in our bedroom which, I must admit, was an inconvenience because when we opened the window it was quite noisy. I also honestly want to comment that a few more amenities should be added, simple one like more hooks in the bathrooms and bedrooms, a blender would help in the kitchen, definitely more lighting in the main room for reading. This is strictly a constructive critique. By no means would I suggest not renting there. We would do it again definitely. The property manager was wonderful and ready to help in any way possible. It was in a great location; couldn't be better. Jeannine, Shelton, CT.

We were 2 couples and a toddler. We rented the 2 bedroom Cartier loft. It was spacious and had a nice view of the river. Our stay was nice and we felt the location was excellent. We were able to walk to many shops and restaurants. We did notify the property manager that the air conditioning wasn't working in one of the bedrooms. This was the only problem. It was a good stay overall.

We trekked of through ice and snow to enjoy Winter Carnival in Quebec. Now, we love the ice and we love the snow, but we really loved the Royal Dalhousie! After sliding down ice slides and being live foosball players, there is nothing like a deep, hot bath, a hot cup of coffee and a croissant from the bakery that is right downstairs. The apartment more than met our needs. It is roomy-even with my 23, 21 and 14 year olds along. The entire apartment was clean and well appointed. Ed gave us our privacy while also suggesting a great restaurant. We were able to enjoy the extreme kayak race right from our windows. I would recommend this lovely accommodation to any and all.

We are a family of 5 adults from Australia that stayed in this apartment over Christmas. The photos of the apartment looked amazing on the internet, but was even more spectacular than we envisaged. Location was perfect, it was within easy walking distance to quality restaurants, Christmas lights and just a few flights of stairs to Le Chateau Frontenac where we had Christmas Brunch, it was a truly beautiful white Christmas. This is definitely 5 star accommodation. Would highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying.

Two couples, post kids, needed a week in Quebec City. The condo could not have been better: Clean, spacious accomodations, good kitchen, right in lower old Quebec City. Our favorite street was St. Paul and the old port market is within walking distance. There is a great little cafe downstairs in the building. And Ed was the best. He made us feel welcome, answered promptly all questions and made great recommendations about the area, including a meal catered in one night. We will be returning for certain.

Quebec City, Quebec, Canada (In the Heart of Place Royal the Birthplace of New France) -- This Historic Greystone was rece sits along the St. Lawrence river and is walking distance to all within the old city. This beautiful building welcomes visitors with it's granite tiling throughout the entry and stairs leading up to the unit. Don't feel like walking up a flight of stairs...no problem the building has an elevator for the use of our guests. Entering the condo you are met by a spacious hallway with the original red brick wall. Advancing a few steps and turning the corner is when the 'wow' factor hits our guests. You are see the vast open space of the condo beautifully decorated and furnished with a back drop of 11 foot high windows looking out at the St. Lawrence River The word 'Quebec' comes from the first nations word meaning, 'where the rive narrows'. This is visible from the living room of this condo as you look out eastward down the mighty St. Lawrence towards the Orleans Island.

Notes

  • RATES: per night based on 2-6 individuals.
Extra guests add $50 per night
For more information or other topics, discuss with owner.

We base our rates on the size of your group and could vary by the number of adults in your party.

    Thank you
  • Why do we rate based on the number of people?
A four/five star hotel offering this amount of space and quality would be $700 -$1500 per night for a luxury suite.
We want this vacation rental to be affordable and price it at a level that would compare with the renting of a standard rental in a 4-5 star hotel. Larger groups would possibly require two rooms so that adds up.
We have parking on-site and that is an added convienence that you do not get with hotels located within the walls of the old city or other condos for that matter.
