Guestbook comments from the owner
We are finally home and recovered from our wonderful trip to Grand Lake. We had such a great time at your home. It was so spacious and relaxing- a perfect getaway for our family. The view of the lake from both levels was stunning! It was the perfect scene to wake up to each and every morning.
What I loved about the house the most were the two huge living areas. The kids were downstairs playing games and watching movies while we could fix supper or enjoy some adult conversation without interruption,.
We also loved the gentle slope to the water and swimming off the dock. It was so hot, we couldn't keep from jumping in! My youngest son even caught a catfish off the side of the dock, which was pretty exciting!
We spent a lot of our time on the pontoon boat, fishing in the morning and evening. It was sort of a waste to venture out, though, the water around the dock was like glass- no wake, no waves- and perfect for fishing. Not too far from the house, I personally caught over 8 catfish and bass, which made me very happy!
Your home was absolutely beautiful, and had everything we needed. I can't thank you enough for allowing us to stay in your wonderful cottage! The memories will last me and my family a lifetime! I will be emailing you to book our future stay!
My husband and I hold full time jobs as well as raising our active teenagers. Being the large and busy family that we are; we relish ‘getting away’ from our hectic life style to a place of peace and quiet to enjoy one another and the simple pleasures in life. We delight in ‘together times’ where we can re-connect. That is why we have this lake home! We would like to share it with you for the same reasons and hope your time will be greatly enjoyed at The Gathering Cottage!
We bought this lakeside stone cottage as it has been a charming place for our extended family to ‘come away’ for fun and refreshing for years. We have enjoyed fishing, boating, inter-tubing, canoeing, swimming from the dock and just relaxing with the lovely lake view. It has been a place of enjoyment, and ‘peace of mind’ for our family for some time. We are sure you will feel the same and are glad to share it with you!

Deer hunting is one of the most popular pastimes for Sooner hunters. In fact, these days are golden if you hunt deer in our state; our deer numbers are exploding and the quality of our bucks gets better each season! A national deer-hunting publication recently rated Oklahoma as one of the Top 10 states for whitetail hunting.
