Built in 2001, you'll appreciate the detailed classic construction of this ocean view home just steps from beautiful Stinson Beach. Located toward the middle of the beach, away from the crowds, and close to the native dunes, this home is the perfect family getaway for those looking for a comfortable yet stylish place to call home during their beach vacation. Purchased in 2010, it has been completely refurnished and updated with attention to detail, style & comfort.
The quaint beach town of Stinson Beach is a mere 20 miles from San Francisco, along California's world famous scenic Highway 1. 17 miles to the north is Point Reyes National Seashore, with kayaking in beautiful Tomales Bay, visiting the local oyster farms, and watching migratory blue, grey, and humpback whales among the many attractions. The town sits at the foot of Mount Tamalpais State Park, which at nearly 2600 feet tall and 25,000 acres, offers hundreds of miles of trails for hiking, biking and wildlife viewing, as well as the also world famous old-growth redwood forest of Muir Woods National Monument.
After a day enjoying the outdoors, rinse off in the private hot water outdoor shower before dining outside to the sounds of the crashing waves, or lounge in the deep tub in the marble encased master bath. Play your favorite iTunes beach vacation play list throughout the house on the full house wired stereo system, or relax in the evening with one of thousands of NetFlix movies streamed on demand over the home's wifi on the 42' high definition TV.
NO PARTIES or LARGE GROUP GATHERINGS of any kind.

We are a family of four, living a short drive 'over the hill' from our beach house. We're delighted to share our home with others that enjoy the beach as much as we do!
The Owner purchased this house in 2010
We chose Stinson Beach for all of the recreation opportunities (surfing, boogie boarding, hiking, biking, running on the 3 mile long stretch of beach...), vacation beach town vibe, and proximity to home! This beach house is well run, appointed & happily maintained by this stay-at-home mom who loves adding the extra-special touches! :-)
This beach house is very comfortable for a family or group of up to 7 people. There is plenty of space to gather in our 'great room' (living area-dining-kitchen are open for easy conversation) or out on one of our many decks (4 decks). The home lay-out & 'open feel' of this home is exceptional and complete with high ceilings, skylights and large windows throughout. Most important, beach access is quick & easy!
It was fabulous! The house is gorgeous and we loved all of the decks, patios and porches!
You never know what you are going to walk into with a vacation rental - what might lurk behind the photos and dazzling descriptions. Well, in this case, NOTHING! The place was just as described and depicted. We enjoyed a much too brief stay but will absolutely return to this lovely spot. And, thank you, Leslie and Todd, for being so wonderful to work with - your communication is appreciated.
My girlfriends and I trek to Stinson Beach every year for a four day retreat. We have stayed in many different properties through the years and this home is by far the most enjoyable. The decor and ambiance provide a spirit of hospitality with quality comforts that make it cozy and warm. I especially loved having the french doors in the master bedroom open all night enjoying the cool ocean air with the sound of crashing waves... This home was exactly as represented on the listing; the owners helpful and sincere in their efforts to provide a world class experience. Going back.
Our entire experience renting this house was excellent. Very professional owners - quick to respond to emails and quick to help us figure out Netflix password when we needed it during our stay. The house is clearly very well-cared for. From the little flashlights for nighttime walks to the bag of coffee they left for us, every detail of our stay was taken care of.
Most importantly, the beds are VERY comfortable. The one I slept in had a pillow top and I slept straight through the nights. Everyone in the house felt the same way. The kitchen is well-equipped with a brand new fridge and all the appliances you need. The details and décor in the house were admirable. For example, their wood kitchen table is actually crafted from part of the Cal Bears stadium.
Overall excellent experience. It's amazing how much more relaxed you can feel when you know the owners put so much care into making sure you have a positive experience.
I stayed here with friends in May for two nights to participate in a trail running race, Miwok 100k. The race starts and finishes at the Community Center in Stinson Beach and I knew I wanted to treat myself to a nice place to stay within easy distance of the race and walking distance to the beach. This house exceeded all of my hopes and expectations.
The house is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. The pictures are a good representation, but really it is better in person. The interior is lovely and my friends and I all marveled at how "cute" the house was decorated. The bed in the master bedroom was incredibly comfortable (loved the down comforter) and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies (knives, dishes, etc) and appliances. The gas BBQ was a nice amenity and we ate dinner out on one of the lovely decks (three!).
The house really is just steps away from the beach - which was wonderful and outdoor shower was perfect for washing out beach sand, or dirt from the trails.
The owner, Leslie, was fantastic to deal with. We had a great introductory phone call and she kept in email contact up until my arrival and the day after I left. There was a nice little welcome gift waiting for us (thanks for the coffee and cookies!!) and my security deposit was promptly returned. I truly felt like a guest in her home, rather than just a "renter".
I would highly, highly recommend this property and I hope to stay here again next year around the same time.
Even with a broken kneecap this house was so beach accessible that it worked! We have rented many houses in Stinson/Bolinas and this one was exceptionally well appointed...beach chairs for the parents, toys for he kids, and so much more. The owners are organized and responsive...we left a book from the library and they mailed it back for us! Thank you! We will be back!
We had a wonderful three-night stay here with our young kids. The layout of the house has one master bedroom downstairs and one up and the other room upstairs has bunk beds. We had plenty of room with just the four of us.
The kitchen is well-stocked and came with some fresh goodies from the owner. Bath supplies, soft towels and a newer washer/dryer were all available. The decor and upkeep of the house is current and clean. Clearly the owners use the house themselves and keep it the way they can also enjoy it.
The beach takes about two minutes to walk to, which made it very convenient with the kids. The neighbors on the court were out and about during the day but everything was very quiet at an early hour.
Leslie was very easy to work with and refunded our deposit today (day of checkout) via Paypal. We hope to stay here again and gladly recommend the house!
(Having stayed often in nearby Bolinas through the years, we enjoy the Coast Cafe which we didn't try this time but had a really great lunch at the Station House Cafe in Pt. Reyes. Bought meat at the butcher counter at Marin Sun Farms in Pt. Reyes. Hiking in Muir Woods was a leisurely 30 minute drive from the house. It's not far at all after crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. Also had a great lunch overlooking the Sausalito Harbor at Fish on our drive up.)
