MEALS: Before departing for your vacation, we will ask you to fill out a Food & Beverage Request form. This will tell us what you would like for your first dinner and breakfast. This means that the cook will go out and pre purchase groceries to make for your first meals. Once you are in Jamaica, you can then reimburse her for the groceries. At this time you can then discuss the types of food you would like for the rest of your stay. If anyone has any allergies or food dislikes, etc please let the cook know since they are very versatile and able to prepare a wide range of dishes/menus.
Cost of the meals are the grocery bills that have accumulated for the items used to prepare the meals for your group while at the villa. If you are not going to eat at the villa, then no groceries are used/no additional cost warranted. If you are going to eat out, simply tell the cook when you will not be requiring a meal so that one will not be prepared.
The cook will do the grocery shopping for you. If you need certain things from the supermarket, you can just make a list and she will get them. Remember you are on vacation! If you would like to go to the grocery store, you are also welcome to go and see what is available.
A good budget is about $35-45 per adult for 3 meals and about $20 per child per day. Meal costs are variable and depend on what you choose, this will affect the budget. Choosing items such as: lobster, shrimp, or imported meats will increase your budget.
Paying for groceries:
You may plan to pay for groceries and gratuities in cash. Both US and JA Dollars are welcomed. You may also accompany your cook to the supermarket and liquor store where your credit card will be accepted. Most commercial establishments accept credit cards. Small roadside merchants and craftmen will require cash.
Imani Ashia Villa was a wonderful experience. The property was very clean and well maintained. We received EXCELLENT service from the villa staff-Juilet, Uelete, and Odley. They were friendly, attentive, and professional. Highly Recommend it!!!
We had a wonderful time at Imani Ashia Villa. William was great to deal with leading up to our stay and even checked on us during our stay. It couldn't have been easier. There weer 8 of us in our party and the house was spacious and surpassed all of our expectations. The rooms were large, everything was well maintained and the pool was great. We felt very safe and comforatble. The location was perfect for us - not too far from the airport and convenient to shops and the beach and restaurants. I enjoyed jogs through the neighborhood each morning.
What really made our stay special were Audley, Juliette and Miss Ulette. Audley is the caretaker and took care of everything while we were there. Juliette is the housekeeper, helps with meals and clean-up and kept us in clean clothes. Miss Ulette is an amazing cook and introduced us to several Jamaican specialities and also catered to the vegetariains in our group. It is impossible to overstate how special each of these three people are and how they made us feel so welcome and cared for us so well!
We would love to return to Jamaica and this Villa in the future to explore those parts of the island we missed this time and to re-live our fantastic experieince. Our best vacation ever!
We had an amazing time at the Imani Ashia villa! It accommodated our family of 3 (with 2 yr old) and both sets of grandparents. There were more rooms that we didn't use. The staff at the house is truly amazing. They are warm and do everything to make your stay great. The cook made really good food and it was fun deciding the menu with her and tasting the local food. The owner William was very nice in booking the house and provided all the info we needed. He even arranged a crib for our baby. The driver he set up had to have been one of the best on the entire island. The location of the villa is great near the airport, near the beach, near great golf courses, restaurants, shopping and grocery. We had a wonderful trip with our family and our 2 year old was spoiled by his grandparents in a wonderful setting. Thanks to William, Audley, Julette and Ulette for making our stay very memorable.
The owner did a fantastic job of staying in contact with me about our upcoming visit. We spoke weekly to clarify information and he answered all of my questions. The staff was so kind and helpful and the house was very inviting. This was a couple's trip and we were there on vacation. I would definitely recommend this home. It was wonderful having the opportunity to enjoy our vacation as though we were still at home. I had an awesome time and will definitely go back! When we arrived everyone was there to greet us. We spoke about the menu and expectations and the staff went right to work to ensure our needs were met. The concierge spoke with us further about transportation. We were able to work out a good deal with a transportation vendor. During our time there we were able to visit Negril and Ocho Rios. The convenience of having a pool and jacuzzi available made things much easier for us. Overall, we had a great time in Paradise and were treated like royalty. We will forever remember our time there.
TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO GO TO Jamaica; IMANI ASHIA VILLA IS THE PLACE TO STAY!!!
We arrived there on March 12th at 3pm and the house staff was there to greet us and unload all of our luggage while we went inside to check out the house.
Once inside everyone loved the house, and the fact that the house staff had lunch on the table when we arrived only made things better! The house was very clean and neat! The rooms were in great order and there was plenty of room for everyone to be very comfortable.
The pool and hot tub was pristine! The area around the pool (which is where we spent most of our time) was absolutely awesome. The views from the pool were breath taking. The villa is situated in a great location not far from the airport which made the commute to and from the airport a short 10 minute ride.
I can speak for everyone in my group (it was 11 of us) NO ONE WANTED TO LEAVE! Ulette, our cook prepared plentiful breakfasts and traditional Jamaican dinners for us every night that we requested it. Juilette, made sure that our bathrooms and bedrooms were cleaned everyday and she even washed, dried and folded all of our clothes! She did way more than we expected. Audley provided superb security for us every night that we were there! He made sure that our drivers knew exactly where we wanted to go.
This vacation was one of the best vacations of my life and I am planning my return! I am in love with Jamaica, the people and the culture! Please, understand that this villa and experience was priceless and the memories that we created there will forever be etched to my life!
The owner of this villa is William and he was exceptional, we will forever be friends. William was the best host to all 11 us! This vacation in his villa not only made me fall in love with Jamaica it allowed us to make new friends with William (owner), Ulette (cook), Juilette (housekeeper) and Aduley (security/ butler)! I will go back and I will recommend this to everyone that I know!
The villa was very lovely and inviting. It was a good choice for our home away from home. The early morning dips in the pool are a relaxing way to start the day of sightseeing. The staff were very accommodating and were grand. Their presence made the introduction to classic Jamaican cuisine exciting. The villa had plenty of room and the landscaping made the trip memorable.
