MEALS: Before departing for your vacation, we will ask you to fill out a Food & Beverage Request form. This will tell us what you would like for your first dinner and breakfast. This means that the cook will go out and pre purchase groceries to make for your first meals. Once you are in Jamaica, you can then reimburse her for the groceries. At this time you can then discuss the types of food you would like for the rest of your stay. If anyone has any allergies or food dislikes, etc please let the cook know since they are very versatile and able to prepare a wide range of dishes/menus.

Cost of the meals are the grocery bills that have accumulated for the items used to prepare the meals for your group while at the villa. If you are not going to eat at the villa, then no groceries are used/no additional cost warranted. If you are going to eat out, simply tell the cook when you will not be requiring a meal so that one will not be prepared.

The cook will do the grocery shopping for you. If you need certain things from the supermarket, you can just make a list and she will get them. Remember you are on vacation! If you would like to go to the grocery store, you are also welcome to go and see what is available.

A good budget is about $35-45 per adult for 3 meals and about $20 per child per day. Meal costs are variable and depend on what you choose, this will affect the budget. Choosing items such as: lobster, shrimp, or imported meats will increase your budget.

Paying for groceries:

You may plan to pay for groceries and gratuities in cash. Both US and JA Dollars are welcomed. You may also accompany your cook to the supermarket and liquor store where your credit card will be accepted. Most commercial establishments accept credit cards. Small roadside merchants and craftmen will require cash.
