Ladies Trip 2013
We had a wonderful Memorial Day week in LBI. This is the second house I've rented for that week, and once again we were lucky with weather. Clean house upon arrival, and all the needed amenities. I was surprised to see an electric grill as our grilling option, but relieved when we find the charcoal option in the garage. Rooms are great sizes, and the kitchen is a nice size for cooking as well. Balcony has a decent view of the bay-especially since the house isn't beachfront. The wind was way too strong to ever utilize the top roofdeck. Not sure if its always that way. Why 4 stars and not 5? We had to deal quite a bit (2-3 straight days) of drilling behind the home during construction. It literally shook the house and made it semi-miserable to be at during the day. Which stinks because many of us wanted to relax and read on the balcony. We weren't compensated in anyway either-which would have lessoned the blow of our vacation being impacted. Otherwise, Alan the homeowner responded in a timely fashion to other issues that came up in the house or questions we had upon arrival.
Owner's Response: I appreciate the comments. Even before this review was posted I sent the renter a gift card because of the construction noise that was experienced for a few days. The rooftop deck is normally a great place to hang out with beautiful views. Her week happened to be off season,cool, and windy.
